  1. Omgeee Ive been having the same problem. I told my surgeon and he said to swallow it because he doesnt want my body to get used to it. Ewwww I cant. I have a constant kleenex/plastic bag next to me. Sometimes ice works for me.

Mine told me to take antihistamine nasal spray, (not working) I've been going through it for months now and swallowing is soooooo not an option for me too. There has to be a solution for this, I'd hate to think thins is 4ever :(

  2. Hi Everyone' date=' I was sleeved June 2nd and I really haven't been taking great care of myself I started working over night and since then I'm having trouble with getting my fluids and Protein in and I keep forgetting to take my Vitamins I feel nauseous all the time with no appetite and I'm really starting to wonder if this surgery was a mistake I miss being myself :-/ I still can't seem to find a Protein shake I like out of the million I've tryed if anyone has any advice on how to manage everything I would really appreciate it , Thanks[/quote']

I'm about 2 months post op and I'm feeling the same way. On top of always being tired, nauseous, Migraines and NO appetite... My tummy is always feeling funny wether liquid or soft food. I have pills I have to take but I literally gag every time I do. I'm waiting for things to get where I can get all my protien from food but I'm never hungry...I wish I knew then what I know now, but I must say I have since the surgery I've lost about 40lbs :).... But I still wonder was it worth it. Honest I was surprised I was even approved smh. But, hopefully with time things do get better for the both of us lol.

  3. Good news' date=' they dont think there's any blockage. Did the leak test and all went through ok but he wants to redo it tomorrow with more liquid. Due to having a hard time breathing and an elevated blood rate he tested for clots. No clots! Ultrasound on my tummy pancreas kidneys and gal bladder and there is some sludge in my gal bladder but should be ok with IV treatment. They have me on zofran, pepsid, reglan, and Ativan along with a potassium saline bag. Knock wood not many tests left.[/quote']

Omg, this could be my story. Just got home from hospital...(in and out for the last 6weeks) on all the same mess too, but I'm having trouble with headaches too. They gave me tremerol but that is toooooooo strong for me lol, cold sweats the whole nine. How long will you need to be on the additional mess?

  4. Sorry for the rant and vent. I'm good now! <img src='http://www.bariatricpal.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' />

Rant away, I agree with the masses, your married. There is no your fault, your problem, it's a our fault our problem kinda thing. If he does not want to take steps to change or at the very least find out what's wrong, cheating may very well end up being your last resort. Keep your head up and from this moment forward, you do things in the best interest of you...... :)

  5. Awe, it's not a problem at all. when I originally started this process I was about 230 pounds. my first appointment was back in october and I had a whole lot of prerequisites that I had to fill out first. long story short prior to my surgery I was about 208, there's a 2 week all liquid diet pre op, so going into surgery I was down to about 205. I was sleeved it on may seventh, and as of today I am down to 181 :). I live in bristol pennsylvania, originally from jersey :).... sizewise on top I was probably I have a large, on the bottom I was probably 14 to 16... I've always been quite shapely, just needed to be less, and easier to maintain. right now I don't know what size I am because I'm still very shapely, but what I do know is it's a lot smaller than I was before and I'm very grateful about that. I can't fit any of my old clothes even the stuff I knew was too small lol. when I figure out my side I promise I'll let you know :), for now I'm just enjoying being smaller...

I wish you the best of luck with everything and please don't hesitate to send me a personal message with any other questions :)

    Judy™

  8. I am three weeks out now. My NUT lets me have these in the soft food stage as long as I put some type of sauce on them. I put a small amount of low fat gravy on them. I also chewed them until they are mush. I could barely eat a half patty. You could probably put some chicken broth along with the patty into a blender and make them in to a really soft mush' date=' but I did okay with the sauce and chewing.[/quote']

I'm almost 3 weeks out myself. It feels like most things I eat take forever to digest :(. I'm hoping by adding some meat to my diet may help a little.

  9. I am alive! I think <img src='http://www.bariatricpal.com/public/style_emoticons/<#EMO_DIR#>/wink.png' class='bbc_emoticon' alt=';)' /> Really had no idea what to expect as far as pain' date=' I am definitely hurting, but only at the site of the largest cut, then the rest of my body just feels like I got ran over by a truck...but I made it! Got released today and got home about an hour ago, nice to be out of the hospital.[/quote']

I can relate, cause I'm a little over two weeks out and my tummy incision still hurts when I cough, sneeze, and laugh real loud lol. You'll be fine, and congrats...

  10. I bought the burgers at Sam's as well as some chicken meatballs they had in the same case. I cut the patties in 1/2 and bagged individually which also means that I got 16 meals for 9. Woo hoo. The chicken meatballs were bagged 6 to a baggie because serving size said 3' date=' but I find I can only eat 2 at a time. Both are inexpensive and easy way to get Protein in. Being they are fully cooked, can zap them in the microwave at work for a quick & easy meal or snack.[/quote']

How far along were you when you started on the patties and meat balls? My sister told me about the meatballs a while back but never got to try them..... Will be purchasing both next time I go to SAMs club :)

  11. I had mine done 5/7 my doc progressed've 12 days later. Truth be told i'm still mostly on liquids, I have slowly added in fish, yogurts and cheese mostly really soft foods. I myself am still looking for some alternatives. Still need to get more Proteins & liquids but i'm working on that :)

  12. Ladies with the headaches: could it be a caffeine headache? We're you a caffeine drinker prior to surgery? Also' date=' are you getting 64 oz of fluids--you might need to focus on fluids.[/quote']

Nah never been a caffeine or soda person, I'm quite sure it's lack of fluids....which is hard for me to get in :(
