  1. I'm about 5 months post op... My 21st birthday is in 6 months which will make it 11 months post op & for my 21st birthday of course I want to go out & have a drink.

What drinks settle good? & you haven't had problems with? Just need opinions on drinks..

To the ppl that have negative comments don't try it with me...

Miller light, margaritas, vodka n diet coke, malibu n diet coke, Jello shots, colorado bulldog, and rumple. Be warned - a shot of rumple knocked me on my butt the other night!

  2. So ive been stalled at 228-230 since May 15... Im at the point i dont even get excited about the possibility of seeing a loss. Im 5 1/2 months out and wondering if maybe this is it... Im still 48-50 lbs from MY goal of 180. The BMI chart says I should be at 168 to be the HIGHEST normal for 5'9". Ive been getting 70-100gm Protein, plenty of Fluid, tried cutting carbs, tried upping carbs... I eat 1000-1200 calories a day. I started working out regularly 3-4 weeks ago... Walking 3.5 mph at a 5% incline for 30 minutes then weights after.

Im seeing my arms and feeling my legs grow but shouldnt this INCREASE my fat burning and help the weightloss??

Has anyone stalled this long this far (or further) out? Whats your story? Howd you handle it and not get angry/depressed?? Is this it? Looking for any hope right now..

  3. I kinda of like the "act your age not your pant size" I actually can see you sticking your tongue out on that one!! :P

But really I live for a good fight but I think Ntvtxn

    Is having an off day.

So I vote for ending this thread??

    :)

Didnt we already when she started acting out on another post?? Same topic?? She want a cookie for being perfect or what?

  4. Eat a cheeseburger foh....I dont kno about everyone else but I am doing this to be healthier nooooo I dont drink soda but I do love wine a hope to be able to have a glass in the future AND YES I do LOVE sweets and hope to have them again in the future def not in excess but YES IN MODERATION....the sarcasm and rude remarks are uncalled for u are not better then the next if u dont have anything nice to say dont say sh** honestly I have no problem with encouraging someone not to do it for whatever reason but its a way to say things def dont need the ignorant a**holes its not even that serious...I say no u prolly shouldnt drink soda just like I prolly shouldnt eat sugar.......but I wont deprive myself of anything I want I will just tey to make better choices one thing I dont want is to gain the weight bak ever but I dont think drinking one damn diet soda will put bk bak to morbid obesity smfh

  5. People like that make this forum a not so nice site to come to. Clearly still miserable with herself. Ask your doctor and see what they say. Do what makes you happy!! In the end you are all that matters! Good luck :)

Amen. This place is nothing like it was when i joined last year. So many rude people. OP asked for feedback - not a sermon. Maybe she cant handle others kicking her off her soap box.

And so what if she went to MX? Shes still alive i see. No complications from what I can tell. Not everyones insurance will pay the god awful price that US doctors charge. Some have to pay out of pocket. Guess what - most of what you use/wear/drive is probably made in China.

    So?

  6. Is this a SERIOUS question???!!!! I'm three years out and I knew PRIOR to surgery that cokes.....carbonated drinks' date=' were the ONE thing I was not EVER suppose to do. Someone else asked you and I didn't take the time to see if you responded, but why would you WANT to. There is NOTHING about a soft drink, regular or diet, that is good for you. [/quote']

Im pretty sure it was or she wouldnt have wasted her time asking it.

Im pretty sure she knows the rules, but was curious about others experiences. No reason to jump down her throat. If you dont have an experience then not much reason to post?

  7. Okay so' date=' i have not lost weight in 2 mos. and June 11th will be my 6 mos out. I was in my last semester of RN school and i totally stopped going to the doc, stopped checking forums, stopped being a sleever. I am 51 lbs down and my "honeymoon" is over. I called and made a appt with my doc and dietician and joined the gym today. I want to reset my sleeve and i saw that some people go back on liquids. Does it work? and how long? Anyway, I have to get back on track. I saw some old pics last night and i saw the sadness and misery on my face. I can NEVER go back there.[/quote']

Youll get going again. Ill be watching for feedback on resetting too. Theres something out there called five day pouch test which may work.
