I am scheduled for August 3rd...after fighting two months with the insurance and all... -
Well pre op diet was supposed to start tomorrow and surgery was scheduled on the 23rd. Drs office called yesterday and said that i was denied because they needed more info. So i called the drs office to see what i am supposed to do and they mever called me back now i am worrying and cant sleep.

Finally got approved...... just waiting for a date. So excited! -

My doctor does the nutrition classes at his office with a nutritionist. Apparently she was not licensed. I also did classes with my husband with a licensed nutritionist. So we will see if that makes a difference. The insurance said it could not be with the surgeons office and had to be with a licensed nutritionist.

They need three years of weight history. And the nutrition part has to be done by a licensed nutritionist. They denied mine so now I am waiting for the doctor to have a peer to peer review. I wad supposed to have my surgery in may but I am still waiting.

I was supposed to have surgery May 23rd. BCBS Of AL denied it because of the nutrition part. They said that that the nutrition part that I did with my doctors office wasn't good enough. So I am waiting on a Peer to Peer Review that should be done this week. So I am hoping that they approve my surgery.

Why are all BCBS state plans different? My doctors office has never had any problems with getting approvals with other BCBS but mine. It doesn't make any sense to me. I am hoping they will eventuallt approve it.

No surgery on the 23rd until the insurance can approve it. They needed three years of weight history and the nutrition classes I took were not good enough for them. I am so frustrated. My surgeon is furious with my insurance company -
I have bcbs of alabama. I am supposed to habe surgery on the 23rd but it is on hold due to they needed more information.

I have blue cross. I am having my surgery at the surgery center. I am hoping the appeal comes through quick.

Nine days until surgery and I get a phone call that my surgery was denied. So now I am scrambling around trying to get medical records from my Dr. I hope this is a quick fix.

As far as I know I was all set to go. My surgery is scheduled for the 23rd. I am supposed to start my diet tomorrow. I am not sure what to do. They said They are going to appeal but who knows how long that will take.

I am starting to get nervous.... the time is almost here. I am not sure if I am more excited for the surgery or my vacation. I am a home daycare provider and I haven't had a vacation in two years.

I know they can be nasty. I am used to doing herbal life. I bought lean shakes from GMC so hopefully they will be good for my pre open diet. -

I think if you microwave the protein drinks it breaks down the protein content -
I was so excited to find this app. My scheduled surgery is the 23rd. I start my liquid diet on the 16th. I cant wait to begin this journey. My husband is having the lap band in june
