  1. Tomorrow will be one week at that I was banded and this wknd is th first time I shall face some friends and family. Of course my closest friends and closest family members know about my operation. I'm not afraid or shameful to tell people but I do prefer subtlety as I don't want 12332122 questions from ppl I don't converse with often. I'm also not one to lie about anything so what is your approach to who've you shared your news with and what do you tell them exactly?

    TTC- PCOS?

Congrats on the pregnancy!! One of the main reasons I decided to get banded is bc we have been TTC for 4 yrs wo success and dong an infertility work up my hubs and I were told all was ok! Really?!? So I went back to my old obgyn who took some hormonal bloodwork and confirmed pcos which explained so much in regards to the infertility and inability to lose weight. I tried chlomid and metformin and nothing.. While my cycle is regular I can almost bet that I'm not ovulating sooooo while I know banding isn't the miracle cure Im hoping the weight loss will reset the hormones and get all the ovulation gears in motion. I would love to lose 80-100 lbs and thats going to take some time but bc my clock is ticking were going to wait and start trying to conceive at years end. If it doesn't happen then well be ok with it and look at other options. I have nothing to lose at this point.. Just the weight!! And the only thing to gain is a whole new healthier me!

    Banded May 2

Congrats on your recent procedure! I was just banded May 3rd and I'm feeling better just hard for me to bend and my energy is low due to low food intake but I am hungry often.. So while 1/2 of my diet is on the liquids I've had to consume some purée or soft foods.. I know not recommended but I'm bout to search out a thread that addresses this issue. My point is that I can tell everyones journey is different and I empathize with your concern that I,hope this procedure will help in short and long term weight loss as I've always needed asst as well! Hang in there, get the rest you need and I'm Sure you'll feel better shortly!
  11. I was just banded this past Thurs by Dr. nusbaum and he and his staff have been nothing but caring, informative, patient and supportive.. Even at Morristown hosp, where the procedure was done.. I'm excited nd nervous to start this journey but it makes it easier to know I have his full support! Best Md I met in a long time!
