I've been following along here for a while now, and thought it was time to introduce myself. I am a Navy wife soon to be a retired Navy wife, my husband is saying goodbye to the Navy after 22 years, and starting a new career. I have 3 children. We live in Texas. I always swore I would never have weight loss surgery. After my 3rd child was born I lost over 100 pounds on my own, only to gain it back. Recently I lost 80 pounds. Then my Dad passed away which sent my over the edge, and I've gained about 50 of that back. And of course the countless times I've lost 30, 40 and 50 pounds. I'm turning 40 this year and have just decided that I'm tired of the weight battle. I just don't want to spend the next half of my life having dieting constantly being my sole thought. I got my cardio clearance yesterday. I am self pay and will be having my surgery on June 18th. I start my liquid diet Monday. I am not looking forward to that! I am nervous and excited all at the same time. I'm sure as it gets closer I'll be more nevous. LOL

One year ago today, I was given one year to live if I didn't get a lot of my extra weight off me in a hurry. It's only 6:40pm, but I'm hoping I'll live until Midnight.
Just thought I'd share that huge milestone with my family here. I'll Celebrate with an extra long workout tomorrow morning! And a cup of Decaf coffee!!

I also started liquids this week. I've lost 8 lbs in 3 days. It's hard but not as bad as I thought it would be. I'll be so glad when this is all over and I'm on the road to recovery. Surgery date is the 18th.

I feel like I have gained hundreds of new friends who all know exactly what I am going through and it is PRICELESS!
