  1. when I was thinner my son and I would go to theme parks and they'd harness us and lift us way up to drop us and it feels like you're flying. Those are some of my best memories and I'd love to be able to do that again.
  2. or slide in a booth when the waitress seats us (instead of asking to be seated at a table) and NOT have my stomach squashed
  3. the day my thighs don't rub together I'm so gonna attempt a cartwheel
  4. well, as The Doors say: People are strange.... Strange is good too, I've been called way worse by someone, but they'll never find the body. jk
  5. Yay! glad to know u made it safely. Get lots of rest and keep us all informed, u know we're rootin for u
  6. Francisco Gonzalez, M.D. Chief Bariatric Surgeon Doctor Gonzalez is a Board Certified medical doctor in Mexico. He is a renowned expert in minimally invasive weight reduction surgery. Doctor Gonzalez has been performing obesity reduction surgery for more than 20 years with great success. He is one of the first surgeons certified by INAMED (now ALLERGAN), the provider of the first LapBand approved in the U.S. by the FDA. With over 4,000 weight reduction surgical procedures, Dr. Gonzalez is among the world's most experienced surgeons in obesity surgery. This above is all true, yet he isnt on the little drop-down selection of Drs. Is it because he doesnt spend tons of money supporting this forum? probably
  7. "I can't wait for my husband to be able to pick me up. That is what I want my GOAL pic to be; my hubby holding me in his arms like a rescued princess" I totally understand. I told Ken, my fiance, that we couldn't actually set a date to get married until he was able to carry me over the threshold. He says he could do that now and I let him know that carrying me slung over his shoulder fireman style doesn't count. lol
  8. I can't wait til the day I can go to a movie theater and not have to wedge in sideways! I can't wait to have any choice of Halloween costume I want (sexy French maid?) instead of having to be a pumpkin or witch. What is it you can't wait for?
  9. Keep us updated, we know you'll do great!!
  10. Hello! I'm going to be 38 this year and I have hot pink hair. you are only as old as you feel. The way I see it is that I only have one life and I intend to live it to the fullest and when my time comes I'm gonna go out kicking a screaming

  12. My daughter is 100% behind me having the surgery and eating healthier. she actually said "I hope you get down to my size before school starts so I'll have more clothes to choose from". She is 15 and in a size 9. I told her that it may take a little longer than that and she said "well at least you dress cool so one day I'll have an expanded wardrobe". Only a 15 year old would say that. Lol Seems like it's the people my age that does it. My sister even does it and she was bigger than I am until she had her Lapband. You'd think she would be the one that is most supportive, but she isn't.
  13. Wowza! U definitely have an angel on your shoulder. Hang in there hun, June 5th will be here before you know it and you can put that nightmare behind you.
  14. Will do! I just started mine Shesstrangelynormal
  15. Yes, don't forget the pillow! If you hold a small pillow tight against Ur tummy when Ur getting up, laughing, coughing, sneezing, walking....omg it feels so much better after an abdominal surgery
  16. I'm with u! This will be my new tactic! And after I talk about the consistency of my bowel movements I'm gonna try like heck to squeeze out a fart for good measure. (except someone posted "never trust your farts" so maybe it'll be a shart, but I'm sure either way I'll be left alone)
  17. I honestly think the next time someone does that I'm gonna say something gross. Like "omg I had the biggest booger this morning" or talk about diarrhea...u know what I mean. I'm evil like that
  18. Thanks. I'm gonna be like Dory and "just keep swimming, just keep swimming"
  19. It seems like most people don't want you to make a healthy lifestyle change with their behavior geared towards sabotaging your diet. Why is that? "c'mon, one bite won't make a difference", "you better eat this while Ur able to", our when they get something and then proceed to eat out in front of you (which isn't that terrible) and tell you "Ur really missing out...here just try a nibble" It seems silly that someone who cares for you wouldn't give you the support u need to stay on track. I get this pretty often and it irks me. Sorry, I'm just venting and I know there is another forum for that but I feel like this one is the one I'm most comfortable with
  20. Wow, I was actually feeling like I'm the only loser who felt this way and I think next Weeks vlog is gonna be about food funerals and letting go of my food addiction
  21. Praying that you're feeling better. Give us an update when you're able
  22. Looking like it may be the end of June. My birthday will be June 29 and I'm shooting for that week
