    Almanza

Ur very welcome I've actually watched that being done and removed on YouTube and it looks pretty straight forward. I think Almanza has more experience than many other Drs so I bet it'll be a breeze.

How Much Should The Surgery Cost?

For 6-7k all inclusive I'm having mine done with Dr Gonzalez (he's with BajaMed group) thru mexicosurgerysolutions.com I know price depends on hospital (their Drs work wherever u want)
  10. Also, my 21 year old son is one of the people who will be accompanying me. I'm using Dr Gonzalez and having procedure done at the MAR surgery center. The hotel we're at will be the Reàl Del Rio. I was taking my cousin and close friends but my friend isn't able to go. So it'll be me, my son and my cousin. Who are u using and where are y'all staying?
  11. My surgery is in Mexico on July 23rd as well. I have a YouTube vlog it's at www.YouTube.com/shesstrangelynormal

Considering All My Options: Mexico Vs. Us

Google vsg complications. Most are from USA
  13. I only have the test set up so far. I, too, have astigmatism, and those toric contacts are horrible. They have every type of procedure u can imagine so it will depend on what type of lasik. When my brother had his lasik here in the USA he literally walked out and wore dark shades and was fine that very day. He put some drops in his eyes that night n the next day his eyes were fine. I guess the healing is different from one person to the next. For me, here it's 3800 and I consider any decrease in price a bonus so I'm having the testing etc done and may get the surgery the day before I leave or even stay an extra day if I need to. The surgery for my vsg is top priority, but the exam is less than 100 I think and Ur dh can get that the day of Ur surgery and while Ur recuperating can get the lasik so u both benefit from the trip.
  14. I'm doing the lasik thing too! Call Rick at www.mexicosurgerysolutions.com and tell him April said to holler at him for lasik and he can go over everything for your hubby

    Leak Test Before Leaving Mexico?

Dr Gonzalez does 3. I think most Drs in Mexico do. I know my friend that had hers here in the states only had the 1 during surgery and that was it

    More Than Once?

Only one trip. Everything else was done thru email, fax, phone. Plus my patient director is in the USA (who helps with nutritional support as well as a virtual gym partner when I get back home) and after I come home I have a list of requirements I have to follow for a year and remain on constant contact with the surgeons team and patient director(bp loss, weight chart, dietary info, etc)

Yeah,I actually changed from the hospital to have mine at MAR surgery center. I WA reading those posts and I swear I had such anxiety it gave me diarrhea. Tmi, but it's true. I'm not going back there and reading any more complications. I'm coming from Oklahoma and it just seems so far away if I had any of that stuff go wrong. I'm gonna do myself a favor n not go to that forum. Scared me lol
