oops! I forgot the echocardiogram

In reply to the pre-testing that my doctor required, here goes; EKG, EGD, Colonoscopy, stress test (probably because I am over 50), sleep study (glad I had that one, I have sleep apnea) a complete physical by my GP and Rheumatologist and a psychiatric evaluation

My insurance is BCBS HMO. I was denied because the band was considered "investigation/experimental". I hired the Lindstroms (Obesitylaw.com).they submitted the remainder of my appeals and still I was denied. The great news is that a State external review overturned the denial and I was banded 9/03

I usually make my own using ground chicken or turkey, however, my RNY friend says that Burger King makes a very good chili. I will try it soon

Hello Laura,

Such a small place this Staten Island......although not any more ; too crowded for me. I am so happy to have started off this good because I am an over 50 Bandster with a medical condition that limits my exercise.........but I am trying..... I am off to Pa. to visit with the grandkids, have a great Sunday....

From what I have been reading, plateau...ing is normal. Some say the weight loss eventually catches up. I hear Curves is a great place.

I live in Great Kills for the last 30years. I had the surgery 9/30/03 and have lost 16 1/2 lbs. I do not feel hungry most of the time, but have encountered some struggles. My staples were removed this past Wednesday and I have another appointment in a month....

After fighting the insurance company, I am finally banded. I had my surgery 9/30/03. Everything went well and I feel great......I hope to find out lots here.

I purchased unjury two weeks before my surgery (9/30/03) and love the taste. I bought the vanilla.

Dr. Ferzli did my Lap Band 9/30/03. I had no problems and found him to be great.
