  1. Well everyone... the time is ticking down now! I have been working so hard to make sure I do a perfect last few days of my diet, I had a few off days earlier on. I am excited to get this started and ready to go! I don't get my time to report until tomorrow so I am curious when I will actually have the surgery but am glad I am staying the night. Two little kids at home and a rough time with nausea so I am going to take the extra time they give me gladly!

Wishing everyone a great surgery tomorrow and Thursday! We will all do great! Please share with me your post surgery doings.... I'll need to hear from everyone as I start my journey!!

  2. I wish you the best with the iron! I too am PCOS and have Iron issues... was actually rejected by my insurance and had to wait two months for my iron to be retested! Luckily the test went well and I have surgery on Thursday! Take the pill and it will improve and you will be set to have your surgery as planned in October! Good Luck!

  3. Hi all!

With much insurance issues, problems with Iron levels and drama from the process I am so happy to say that on Thursday I will be officially on the other side of this process! I am both nervous and excited.... scared and eager.... and the emotions go on and on.... I have lots of issues with anesthisa and nausea so hopefully they aren't too difficult.

Anyone else having surgery on Thursday? I am pretty much flying solo on this one, besides my husband for support.... I wish everyone else lots of success and look forward to reporting as soon as I am out of surgery!

    Thanks!!

  4. Wishing you both great success tomorrow! I hope to be where you are in about 6 week! Stay strong and remember that all the hard work you did so far and will continue to do will add years to your lives and make it so much richer even on days when it sucks! Good luck and keep us posted!

  5. Well I called the Dr's office and left a message for their Insurance person... didn't hear back so I will call them tomorrow. Then I called BCBS and spoke to someone who was nice but didn't have answers yet and she said she will talk to the woman in pre-approval and would call me back... I didn't hear back from her either. I will call them back again tomorrow! I just want to know and if I am not approved the quicker I know the quicker I can do whatever they need me to do so I can get this on track! Thanks for asking and I'll keep you posted! :)

  6. Thanks! I am going to call tomorrow... I hate to be the squeeky wheel but I have to be!!! I just want to be able to mark my date on the calendar so I can start my new life!!! I have to do 2 weeks preop diet too but my dr. won't start anything until we get approval... the longer it takes the more it makes me think I will be denied! I'll post tomorrow hopefully with some good news!

  7. I'm getting so frustrated waiting for Insurance Approval! I feel like it has been forever since everything was submitted, which was on the 29th of May. I was told about a week for BCBS. I have my whole summer planning waiting on the date of my surgery and since I'm not telling others I can't set dates to go visit family until I know where I will be in my recovery! UGGGG! Just feeling frustrated with this today and want to set a date already so I can start this journey! I'm ready... beyond ready... but want to start NOW! Fingers crossed I hear from them tomorrow!

  8. I'm still pre-op but I have had other laproscopic surgeries in the past and it really sounds like residual gas. If you get relief from walking that is a sign that it is the gas and notsomething else. The gas can travel, weird as it may seem, all the way up your chest, into your shoulders and even down an arm. I have heard on here that some people say it gets worse after a bit before it gets better. Hopefully you feel better soon! I am sure I will be experiencing it soon as well....
