You can have the band removed at any time...or port repositioning. A lot of people deal with that after loosing all their tummy weight.

Thank you!! It really hasn't hit me that it's actually happening!
Sometimes I still don't believe it!
The best part is 6 months later feeling better than ever and watching the incredibly shrinking you! Good luck!!!

I DID IT!!! 6 months and 6 days in and I hit the hundreds! AND I am in a perfect green zone...have been for a while! AND I was called skinny!!! WTH?? Love it!
I haven't been in the hundreds for about 4 and a half years.... 49 pounds down and 49 to go!!!
Pat myself on the back?? I think so.

Just wanted to share a small NSV that is only one of many I have experienced....
Yesterday I caught a glimpse if myself side view in the mirror and actually thought to myself....damn I'm getting skinny! So today I put on a pair of jeans that I loved so much but could only wear unbuttoned with a belt to hold them closed and a long shirt.... Today... Buttoned and belted but to hold them up!!!!
I have never regretted this surgery for one second and doubt I ever will...40 pounds, 5 months and feelings years younger. 58 to go!!!

Congrats!!! Big accomplishment!

I just had my 3rd fill yesterday and I am up to 6.5! I kept it at 5.5 for almost 3 months....just felt OK till I plateaued and felt less restriction. I hope this is the kick to get me to ONE-DERLAND!
-
I was told that just because you are loosing doesn't mean you shouldn't get a fill. There are two factors to needing a fill: 1) if you aren't loosing and 2) If you aren't feeling restricted. I would argue with my surgoen till I am blue in the face that just because you are loosing and not restricted doesn't mean that you don't need a fill.
I am going for my first one on Saturday and am very excited! I was told I could have more than one in the first month if I would like to get to restriction quickly.

I just got my machine a couple weeks ago right before my surgery. I haven't been spot on using it...cause I was up and down on pain meds for a while. But now that I am healed I have been using it and I am FAR more rested than I ever was on less sleep! Love my CPAP machine! Even though I feel like Darth Vadar.

My surgeon said that ibuprofen can be a gastric irritant but for now it is a good anti inflammatory. And by alternating you can take more.
-
They sale adult liquid? I did not know this. I am going go out and get them right away. Thank you so much for your help.
No I had to buy childrens. But I take enough to total 800 mg. It helps so much!

Thanks ledavis
This is painful. I was fine until I put some folder away at work I did not think they were too heavy but I guess I over did it maybe
Also, a heating pad across the abs works wonders! I bring mine to work. Also, my surgeon has me alternating liquid tylenol and ibuprofen every 3 hours. It helps a lot too...I find that I start to feel really good, miss a couple doses and then realize that I have done far too much! Important to just keep things limited as much as possible.

I am 9 days post op and definitely still having some chest pain but a lot of port pain. My surgeon said it is normal.
-
It also could be an issue of not enough calories. I just had my post op visit yesterday and read through all the information provided for moving on to real food. ONe of the factors in slowing weight loss can be not getting in enough calories! Make sure you are counting always....
And definitely exercise too!

Awesome!! My one week mark was yesterday and I am down about 10 (rounded ). I couldn't ask for better progress! Other than a miracle!!!
-
I sure hope you are feeling better now. I still have a little sharp pain on my left side, but it comes and goes. I am feeling almost 100% again...almost!
Today is sooo much better than yesterday! I go for my post op at 3pm PST.
The left side pain is all that is left. My surgeon said that will stick around a while. But I am down 10 so whoo hoo!!
-
Awesome!!!!!!!! I am down almost 10 since my surgery 8 days ago! Loving my LapBand.

Read it! You were the day before me. Hope you are feeling OK now. I am still hurting like crazy.

Definitely have had popsicles and fudgesicles (SF of course) and my fav Soups strained...I even had some plain SF ice cream that I just let get really soft.

I am post op day 7 and I am getting bored with my liquids. I am hungry but it is manageable. But I am not sure how I will make it through another week of eating liquids only if I don't get some new things in!
Help!
-
I still have one more week from today to start mushies....2 weeks post op...I can't wait! I am already planning in my head what I will have. I am mainly excited for the energy because right now it is hard for me to get anything over 400-500 calories in my body on the liquids only.
So happy for you and so inspiring!

Angela and I are band buddies (one week ago!) and I agree with her completely! I was up and walking around every two hours starting that night.....like my nurse said, "Move, Sip, and Breathe." That was her only request. My gas pain was gone after a couple days but the abdominal pain is still running high....just take it easy...no lifting, bending or fast movements for a couple weeks!
-
Post op day 4 - still not very mobile. Moving very slow is my only option...I go back to work Monday so I'm hoping this weekend is super healing!!

Yeah this makes me think it "unhinged" .... I have heard that on here before.
