You were given IV fluids; your gonna retain fluid; also you may have a TOM RIGHT AFTER because of the anesthia ; and too your body will hang on to the weight if your not getting enough fluids or calories; I'm 3 months out ; this is the experience I come from; I've only lost 38 lbs since surgery: that is still 3 -4 lbs a week; when you decide you can exercise you then will gain too. It's all part of the process; Protein is the most important!

No regrets. 3 months out; 52 lbs down; you need to be prepared for those side effects people tell you about,
Gas- burping and pooting; burping all the time when I eat! Before surgery I thought no big deal; but you need some kind of medicine handy at all times; I only take when needed; it hasn't been bad. But unexpected even with warning.
hair loss- it does happen ; hasn't yet to me but I'm expecting it; eat your protein; be sure of this!!!!
Dehydration- is prevalent in the first month; it's very hard to get 64 oz of Fluid in ; Smart Water ; G2, these have electrolytes; that you will need;
Use a straw if you have to even though they say not to; make it easier to get it in.
Sleep- get some ; when I don't sleep well I gain.
Weight loss- this is a roller coaster for some; like me, down, down , up, up, down, down, don't get too upset when you gain; this Ai a clue to not enough of water; calories; sleep; lack on BM.
FATS- you need some for you BM; or your gonna regret it. I went from daily BM TO every 4 days or so.

Increase your calories and one day a week eat something high in calories

Your cravings will be all mental: this is why we failed other diets; your sleeve won't hold much though! So this tool will not allow you to eat much. I use no sugar added fudge pops as my sweet, when I feel I need it or just as a snack. I have eaten a small amount of chocolate and muffins and believe it or not the next day I was down 1..8 lbs. but I will not rely on that to loose weight.

What a transformation! You look awesome! Younger too!

Tell me about your cosmetic surgery; did you get it done in the US or MEXICO? Did insurance cover if in the US? If so ; on what grounds?
And are you satisfied with the results?

A friend of mine had gastric bypass a year ago and we have had this discussion; hers didn't shrink; she is thinking about Lipo there because insurance won't pay for Tummy Tuck unless skin hangs below the pubic area.

I personally know children who were overweight and their parent never let them have candy or soda; after puberty they slimmed down;
For me on the other hand; my mother kept the wrong foods around but she and I are the only ones who were overweight.
As for my children; we try to watch what they eat and keep them active: they have watched me be fat their whole lives and they don't want that for themselves. I would definitely not let my children get too big.
But to each his own
