Hey Juli! Great job with the ride! Where did you ride your 60? Is it trail or off road?

My doctor says no soda. So during my pre-op diet stopped the soda---goodbye dear friend Diet Dr Pepper. I be honest with you, I don't really miss it--and I have been without it for now 4 months and two weeks

I wore a gym outfit---tank, pants and jacket. The pant had a draw string..so it wouln't be too tight, and the jacket allowed me to not wear a bra.

I was fortunate first to have my insurance cover my surgery---but to have a great doctor which included in his surgical fee (which was 250 after insurance picked up their part) does my fills for free. I know that I am very lucky this is not true for everyone.

Does anyone have problems with Fitday? I set up the account--entered everything---and it won't log me back in this afternoon. It says that I have a login error..so I had it send me my password..and it still won't work. aargh!

I have lost nearly 60---down to 270 from 330 ( I am 5'7) and I am wearing a size 14 in the tops--and at Talbots (not Talbots Woman) I am wearing a XL and somethings a Large. Pants I wear a 18. Now let me add that I am a 40 B bra size---so I am pretty flat chested for a big girl and I carry a lot of my weight in my legs.

Hey Sistas! Hope y'all had a great Fourth!!! Went on a bike ride with the DH around the lake we live by in Dallas (White Rock Lake) it is a 13 mile ride :clap2: I did this ride on Monday too! My goal is to ride in the month of July a tenth of what they ride in the Tour de France --which is 2200 miles---so we will ride 220! So far I have 26 miles in--I know that this is a big goal---but I am up for the challenge. HEY JULI! You are a bike rider...wanna do the challenge too? Come on..... Hugs! Denise

People rarely die on the table from Lap Band surgery--I can't say the same from Bypass. When a dad of one of the students at the high school that I teach at DIED..I knew that it wasn't what I wanted...also my sister-n-law had bypass and has severe malnutrition (vitamins, proteins)--losing her hair--but has gained back over half of the weight she lost--she has stretched her little pouch. She is a constant snacker throughout the day--carb addict. Find another support group!

Pb-ing means Productive Burping. In other words---food coming back up (not exactly like vomiting) Everyone PB situation is different..normally mine is because I have let myself go to long between meals..and I eat my first bite a little too fast w/o chewing it properly..and then the slime begins..eeww! Hi There!!! I was banded in March too---and like you I have had three fills--I am now up to 2.2 cc in a 4 cc band. How much is your fill up to? I am at a stand still too in my weight lost. You may need a fill---are you exercising? If so, perhaps you do need a fill. I have my appointment 7/11 for my 4th..I hope it is the one that works. Good luck to you! Denise

I have---especially when I haven't chewed the food really well...or I ate too fast. I am assuming your have a fill doctor in the states? If so, don't take my word for it...go and tell your doctor the symptoms that you are having. Denise

Hey Mary! Like you, my last fill was around the same time your's was ( 5/9). At that time I had lost several pounds---and since...not so much! Aargh. I think I may need another fill--but not sure. I have my next appointment about the same time your next one is--mine is July 11th ( I wish it was sooner--but because of the holiday--that is when it has to be :faint:!) I am so glad that we have this thread---though we are all on a plateau it seems--we are in it together! :mad: Denise

I don't know if you are still looking for a doctor in Dallas...but my surgeon is Dr. Haagood at Presby in Dallas. He is wonderful and all fills are at no cost for the first year--and all doctors visit for the first year are also at no additional charge.

One more thing...can't get in to the doctor until freakin' JULY 11th!!!!!

Hey Marchie Sistas, Very unlike me...but I am very depressed. Maybe it is the let down of coming back from Napa back to rainy freakin' Dallas..or maybe it is the fact that I am at the Plateau from HELL!!!!! I have been stuck at 271 for about 3 weeks!!!! AARGH!!! I called the doctor's office today to schedule an appointment to talk to him and see if he thinks I need another fill. I am 2.2 in a 4 cc. After my last fill (those that remember my rabies!) my "food tube" was so irritated that it hurt to swallow anything remotely solid for about 3 weeks . I am able to eat around 2 cups of food at a time--some days--the band 'o hell sometimes is fickle--and some days maybe a cup. Anywho--any advice would be appreciated. HEY FRIENDS! Well.....I am back! Sonoma and Napa were wonderful! Weather was cool and it times a little cold! Being a Texas girl I don't know if I could handle 50 degree temps in the middle of June! I had a NSV moment while visiting Point Reyes. If y'all are not familiar with Point Reyes, Ca--it is a point on the coast (just west of Sonoma) that junts out to the sea--it has a little lighthouse on the very tip. Anywho, when Jon and I went there last year during Spring Break I didn't even try to attempt to walk down to the lighthouse ( it was just an effort to walk from the car 1.4 miles to the top of the mountain. To get to the lighthouse you have to walk down 302 VERY steep steps (I know the number because the mark them for you ) Also there is two steep ramps that you also have to walk down--okay anywho--not only to you have to walk down the steps...you have to eventually walk back up! And I did it!!!! :clap2: I had lots and lots of fun...and drank lots and lots of wine!!! he he! Denise

You may be bloated from the traveling. Let everything settle down for a couple of days and then way again. I know that my system during traveling doesn't quite work. Take care! Denise

Hello Kitty, I can eat Pasta, but bread gives me trouble if I eat it in a sandwich. I don't eat a huge amount of pasta when I do eat it..and I make sure that it is whole wheat---so I can get the Fiber Denise
