That would not make any sense. Why would the port be so far away from the band? Why run that extra tube through your body?

My doc wants me to try 30 grams of carbs a day. I belong to myfitnesspal also and 165 is ridiculous! he also wants me to get at least 70 grams of Protein in. Since I am watching the other two, I'm not watching fat grams.

I drink regular coffee. I haven't had any problems. I am two weeks post op.

I use the GNC Total Lean shakes. They come in swiss chocolate, strawberry cream and vanilla bean. To me they taste like milk shakes. 170 calories 6 grams of carbs and 25 grams of Protein. I use the ready made shakes.

I also refused to take pictures. Really ticked off my husband! We vacation a lot and I got tired of not being able to do excursions because I exceeded the weight limit. I am only 4 days post op but I am looking forward to being in all of our vacation shots!

Don't beat yourself up over it. It happens. Just pick yourself up and get back on the program. Just be more careful in the future. You'll be just fine!

Wow 48 hours of liquid? I had 14 days! I've read that some people say they take papaya enzymes to help with food getting stuck. Anyone here heard about it?

I'm shooting for 140-145. I think I wore a size twelve at that weight. I'm going to set up small goals so that I don't overwhelm myself. Baby steps.....

I had to see my primary care doc for 6 consecutive months and show a weight loss. Is that what you mean?

I also wondered why everyone has diff pre-op diets. I am on a 14 day liquid diet. Doc says its so that it will shrink my liver and help him get to my stomach better. I drink 3 Protein Shakes a day. I'm also allowed sugar free Jello and popsicles. I blend chicken noodle Soup for dinner. I can also have crystal light. My only downfall is that I need to drink more Water.< /p>

I puree chicken noodle Soup. Also, cream of wheat is good. Doc says I can have runny grits but haven't tried that yet. he says as long as I can put it in a blender, it is ok. Good luck!

Go to GNC. they have a great shake that is low in carbs and taste great. I am on day 5 of my liquid diet and doing well. It does get easier. Good Luck!

I also use the GNC total Protein. It has 25 g of protein and only 6 carbs. It taste really good too. I especially like the vanilla bean. I found that the muscle milk light had a bad after taste. My doc says that as long as I can put it in a blender, I can have it. I've been buying campbell Soups and blending them for dinner. It's better than just broth.I like the chicken noodle ones. It took a week to get the approval from my insurance. Surgery is scheduled for May 10th. That was 3 weeks after the approval. I have 2 weeks of pre-op to do.
