  1. I have BCBS Anthem. It took less than a week to get approved. BCBS says 6 months, From the beginning of the process to time I was banded was 3 1/2 months.
  2. Steel cut oats are great and have more nutritional value than rolled outs.
  3. I drink coffee everyday but not alot. I use the full flavor H&H. It hasn't effected my weight loss at all.
  4. OOPS!! I mean under 200.
  5. Congratulations!!! I have 5 more pounds to be less that 100 myself. Haven't seen that in almost 10 years.
  6. It shouldn't. No more than getting a shot.

  8. You could save on calories and add PB2 instead of peanut butter.
  9. I agree with everbody's comments. Be patient and throw the scale out the window. What's wonderful is going into your closet and trying on stuff you didn't ever think you would wear again. It's an awesome feeling.

  11. You go girl!! You look great. I've lost 50 lbs and have another 50 lbs to go. I looked at some pictures that where taken this week end and man what a difference. In group pictures I used to stand on the back row. Now I'm front and center and excited to see them. Good luck on the rest of your journey. Hippiechick74

  13. Congrats on your journey!! You made a fantactic choice when you went to Dr. Baptista. He is my hero. He is also a great general surgeon. About 2 1/2 months after my WLS I had a BAD case of acute appendictious and had to emergency surgery. Never been so sick in my life and I'm a breast cancer survivor. Good Luck!!
  14. RavenClaw779 first of all congradulations on beating breast cancer. I am also a breast cancer survivor. Diagnosed in 10/10. However I didn't get banded until 7/20 of this year. Chemo reaks havic on your digestive tract. I had a lot of the same issues and wasn't banded. Don't you love steriods!!!! I'd be patient contact your WSL and discuss these issues. Take to heart some of the advise that was given from fellow posters. I was put on Tamoxafin and worried about getting weight off. Treatment put in into menopause. Since being banded I have lost almost 50 lbs. and wouldn't change a thing. Oh yeah I totally understand the bra thing. Hate them hate shopping for them. I find that my tight surgical bra is the most comfortable to wear. Bummer though since I lost weight I'll be shopping for bra's again soon. Good luck on your journey!!

  17. My doctor said it was OK after a month. He reminded me though not to forget the empty calories and everything low carb. I find beer to be to filling. I drink flavored vodka with crystal light pure. Have to be careful as it taste like punch and has snuck up on me.
  18. I've been shopping in my closet too!!! Isn't it great.....
  19. janleefran, I didn't mean to sound rude but, You probably won't get a lot of sympathy on this site. FYI....you will probably regret posting. I have a feeling this will be answered by many people. But good luck anyway.
