  1. Don't know the answer to your question but hello from central mo.
  2. Oh that's kindof sad.. 1. It sounds like he's trying way too hard to love you with food.. Perhaps you can check out the book "the 5 love languages," and the 2 of you can learn how each-other like to be loved.. The basics are on the website- you can probably find it with a quick google search... This way, he can learn NEW ways to love you. 2. I'd throw the deep fryer out. Both of you need to be eating healthier. I'm not saying that he has to go on a diet but I'd say that that thing is NOT coming in my home. Or put it in the garage and tell him he can make and eat his poison out there. 3. butter on white bread? really? Him saying "you can have just a litle bit" is just like a junkie telling his recovering friend that he can have "just one bump." know what I mean? Or "just one shot." It angers me that he's doing this. 4. My husband and a lot on this board are insecure with their fat selves, and are scared/nervous that we will get skinny and leave them. I can see how this might be true for your husband and how he might be wanting to sabotage your efforts in order to keep you a lil chunky... UNACCEPTABLE. if you love me, you'll want me healthy and strong and able to live a long life... 5. junk food is not allowed in our house.. period.. this is for me, our kids and my husband.. we need him.. if he wants to eat junk, fine, do it in the truck before you get home, but do NOT do it here. I will not cook junk for my family. they are not garbage disposals.... 6. may I recommend counceling for the 2 of you? i can see this becoming a BIG issue in your marriage if he's actually getting ANGRY that you wont eat.
  3. and can i just say that i am OUT OF THIS WORLD excitd for you! are you going to take lots of pics, to document your trip for us?
  4. Armywife, this is awesome! I never would have thought to put this togther like this, thanks! Should probably put a ? by my name since I'm not sure. I havent paid my deposit just yet, and we've decided it would be best to try to get a friday, so I'm looking at the 15th or 22nd.. sorry to be confusing.
  5. I make this every weekend.
  6. I use a 1 lb bag, shredded. 2 c mozzarella 2 jumbo eggs, but a friend uses one med egg. I don't do seasonings very often but when I do I use 1 T fennel and 1 t oregano (or other Italian seasoning that's green )
  7. Oh also!!! Are you working out? It makes all the difference in the world.
  8. I read that the bigger a person is, the longer it takes to drop sizes Nd he smaller you get, the quicker the sizes drop.
  9. Oh wow! I'm preop and having those concerns! What are/were your numbers?
  10. Yay! I can do Atkins for the preop diet!!!! Much easier than the other!!!!! I got this!! Lol I should have just emailed him and not bothered all of you. I'm sorry for inconveniencing you. :bashful
  11. How do I add friends on the app with screen names instead of emails? I'm amberlylane13 and I'm preop. Surgery mid feb
  12. Can someone tell me how to see what my friends eat while on the ap!? I'd like to see what y'all are eating I'm amberlylane13 but I'm PRE op. just eatin les calories.
  13. I agree to a point. I like what dean says about allowing for some anxiety in newbies. And post opers. I mean this is MAJOR surgery! Scary stuffs. Now I feel a little bit afraid to post about my concerns post op though. I've seen some really annoying posts such as "zomg I'm like a week out and I can't eat this buffet! crap I wish I'd never gotten surgery!" On one hand, I want to understand and an be supportive. On the other hand I'm like -----> o.O Really?
  14. I make this twice every weekend. I didn't read the recipe but I'd you're using froz cauliflower, squeeze the absolute snot out of the cauliflower. I was on a low carb mb woth the original creator if the pizza crust and she gave me this tip. (Look up cleochatra, your lighter side) Yummy!!!!
  15. Alley-gator, what about all the positive feedback though? I know Aussie lady rubbed you wrong but I do hope you're taking in all the good encouraging replies too!! (Hug) I learned about this procedure from a friend hat had just gotten it done 8 mos earlier. She told me that he first month is SO hard, because you have to learn to deal with life in other ways than eating. Then after that its just a way of life. I hope that you start losing faster and see the light at the end of the tunnel. I second the suggestion for therapy. Couldn't hurt to get help.
  16. Thanks icon! I am so excited for you!!! I feel like we've kindof travelled this road together and seeing you get so close to your date just amps me up!!!! 6 weeks!
  17. Well. This isn't as much about the need to chew or not being done with junk. I'm already eating fairly healthy, exercising lightly and trying to lose before my surgery date. It's more about that "I might pass out" feeling that I'm afraid of. I need my energy. I suppose though, I'll have to get used to what it feels like to have less calories anyway, since that's probably more calories than ill he gettin post op. Icon, that's right!! salad with Protein. We're both going to mi doctor. I'm going to Garcia though. So would you say you mentally and physically just kindof adjust after a couple days on the shakes?
  18. Ok. I'm not complaining. I'm not saying that I cant do the preop diet. I'm not lamenting about not being able to go without good because I need bacon and chocolate. What I AM saying is this: since so many surgeons all have a different PRE op diet, is it safe to assume that I can pick another strict preop diet? Especially If I do it for 2 weeks vs the 1 that is required for my bmi. I was choosing between 2 different surgeons. The other surgeon gave me a choice between 2 weeks low fat low carb or 4 days of only yogurt. This surgeon I chose says one week of shake Shake 4 oz lean Protein Shake if needed Metamucil for hunger What if I were to add super low carb low fat Proteins to this plan? Say Shake Egg whites Shake Tuna Shake Ya think? I'm not looking for ways to break rules. I'm just remembering my hcg days where I was eating 500 calories a day, and was sure I'd be in the hospital after day 4. i found myself on the floor thinking about orange juiced and shaking and woth serious fatigue that left me on the floor. I have 6 kids to take care of. Stairs to climb etc. I still have about 4-5 weeks until I need to start. I'd like to plan ahead a little though.
  19. I think you're golden. I'll probably NEVER do that much. Maybe. I won't say never. So. I'm rolling out the carpet for you.
  20. There have been a couple threads about this. My hubby said it a couple times and I put him in his place about it, also bringing up that he's insulting my commitment to him, and insinuating that I'm just that shallow. Hasn't said it again.
