When you get your first fill, hopefully they will give u some ideas. My surgeon and team asked me to have only full liquids for three days after first fill, may be different for you but be sure to ask.

Protein first atleast 60g... Eat veggies. I'm amazed at how much we learn on some of these forums. If u can, a nutritionist is good idea:)

You are going to do great! I was out of work the first week. By the second week I worked four half days and felt much better. Take it easy, rest, walk, drink:) -
I just did a wicked workout doing sit ups in a ball 5 reps of 10. Then leg lifts straight up on a bar ouch. My fitness pal says I should see ab changes in two weeks, also low carb.

Because you are nine days post op, your band probably isn't filled. The process if filling the band gradually will make you more restricted. My team of surgeons, etc suggested I practice eating smaller bites, chewing slowly. I'm glad i did now that I'm filled at 5.5cc I understand what restriction really means, after a year. It will all make sense as you progress:) good luck -
Did your doctor prescribe you Zofran for your nausea? I'm glad you are getting better. My kids were a little worried about me when I was in first two weeks post op....it's a little scarry for all:)

I do eat ground beef, but I also get it at a local meat cutting shop, so it's almost gristle free, very high end beef....got it for 2.20 per pound. I was able to pan cook and grill it. Just chew really well and small bites, I even cook it a little pinker.

Maybe go for a protein shake or full liquids for 24 hours then see how it goes. Surgeon assistant suggested this when I had bronchitis I couldn't eat much of anything I was so congested not even shredded turkey deli meat! So I did soup and shakes for a day.
-
The second month after surgery I barely had one...they were light for a few months....but now they ate more than my typical two or three days. Sometimes they are four days and heavier!!!!ugh oh well worth it all.

I'm so glad u are okay I was really worried about you!!!! It seems that the first few weeks can be discouraging, then it gets better, then the weight starts peeling off, leveling out, fills, losing, and stagnating at times. It's amazing how we become aware of our bodies...when we think we need a full or if we might be too restricted. Make sure you hydrate. If I feel I have not drank enough, I purchase coconut water to push that hydration but water most important!

I went out to this restaurant (Italian) thinking I could have nothing on the menu. So my husband orders eggplant Parmesan...it went down smooth and tasted like lasagna...oh my gosh it was good!!!! So I got on a cooking light website and you can use whole wheat Panko instead of bread crumbs....I'm going to make it this week.

Hey much the same I was at 268...I'm in my forties. Congratulations u are doing awesome!!!! It is a hill but try to enjoy the climb and the descent, and the rough road, smooth paths along the way as you will have many more. You will be amazed how fast time will go by and before you know it....size 24 to 14 ( finally there) but more to go!

It's ok to take the slow boat to China...I needed that time to succeeed. I was banded December 21, 2010. I was 268 and down to 189... My body is molding back with a little slower loss. I finally got an adjustment that spiked a little more restriction...less eating hence the weight loss! Biut only recently.

My surgeon and support team at doctors office would like to see me eat 60 grams protein+
-
My mom made cheesy potatoes ( sour cream, cheese, hash brown potatoes baked together...puréed too and yes, they were good just chew, chew, chew!!!!!!! And take it slow. Practice using child size utensils.

It's just one day, it's ok. Just get your head in the game again, and get a fesh new outlook tomorrow. There have been a couple times I didn't want the adjustments. Now I realize I could have gone faster, but I'm still accepting this new life. I can now understand why I hesitated on fills...I needed that time to listen to my body when I was hungrier or not satisfied. I don't hesitate so much anymore:)

Yes, weren't u the one that was 3 hours from hospital and dehydrated?
