Remember that things like Mac and cheese have enriched flour and kind of doughy could ball up in your stomach. It seems after the first few days of full liquid after full, for me I had to take it to soft mushy and gradually try different things after a full.

Worried About Slippage Or Band Flip
Skyvic replied to Rebecca Cain Salpacka's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Just remember to follow the rules and you will do fine. You may have various individuals that may not have been educated to know the rules, or possibly slips due to faulty equip, etc. just be informed on how and and what you should eat. Play it safe listen to your body that is the best way you know. Maintain regular appointments, see a nutritionist, excercise, and don't eat cruddy foods:) -
How Do I Know If I Need An Adustment??
Skyvic replied to Jus Kristle's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
If you are vomiting after a few bites that us not a good sign. Yesterday my surgeon explained, " we want you to be able to eat 3 mall meals and a couple healthy snacks. Chew small bites...if you are satisfied in between meals you are green zone. If you are eating and going back to the bathroom because you feel stuck, then we have filled you too tight...this can be a bad thing because you can get esophageal dilation. " so you can actually not lose weight if you are too restricted. -
As it is warming up in the high deserts of Colorado, we can't forget to make site we get enough low calorie sugar fee liquid and of course water!!!! I've noticed that I'm feeling thirsty...which means I'm probably not hydrated enough. Sip, sip,sip

I had my barium swallow last week. It was easy except felt like I was drinking plaster of Paris. I was able to watch the barium go through my band and radiologist indicated it looked good. Mine were read one week later, but had an early hint all looked good. Good luck:)

Sometimes third and fourth day can be harder. It was for me but everyone is different. Take it easy and stay hydrated:)

My surgeon told me normally 1-2 pounds a week. But there will be plateaus. I have lost 81 pounds since December 2010...I chose to go slower with my fills. I didn't start excercisibg regularly unti this spring. I went from a size 24 to a size 12 ( some 14s) so in pretty satisfied. One regret, I don't excercise sooner:) -
Yes leg cramps headache dizziness all signs of deydration. To supplement hydration issues try coconut water it has major electrolytes and potassium...I have used this in a pinch.
-
Yes as you go further, it is suggested by my surgeon to take pinky size bites, chew 25-30 times and consistency to go thru a straw wk prevent stuck feelings.
-
I Ihave started this Pilates yoga excercise class. Never imagined I could do it. After a year, I'm ready to jump into this with both feet. Finally can move instead of waddle...yes like a duck. Embrace and take advantage of the weight loss and freedom in movement.
