Isn't it amazing when you start seeing a change in your clothing size? Just remember there may be a tune when you may go from a 18 to a 14 in just short months. It's so hard not to buy though. So enjoy the ride!

When I had surgery I was more sore by the third day. It took a full week to feel normal for me. The second week I worked three half days because I had no energy, was tired by noon.

Skyvic replied to show1980's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
I think that is u are working out you could be building muscle. I bet the weight will come off soon. -
I have them all over my legs...I want them removed eventually.

Today I got an email from my fitness team at my surgeons office. I have lost a total of 50 inches from my body. I was shocked... I'm even more motivated!

I call this head hungry. Still experience this. Practice eating on your small.plates, small bites, lots of chews. Sit and visit and be social. Concentrate in the company of others but still focus on small bites. Eating alone? I just eat small and walk away before you r miserable go walking. I think it's hard to get head out of it after so many years of living do food as I call it.

I don't get first bite syndrome...but if I have waited too long to eat, I find that my first few bites and chews are usually too big and too fast. That can be uncomfortable so I have learned to slow down and not allow myself to get that hungry.

My excercise buddy said it would be the toughest three weeks ever. I'm referring to core training, cardio, and major sweat. Well, I made it and never thought I could...Golds Gym and not at happy hour!!! I went at night 8:30-9:30 and 10 pm. No social hour worked bum off. So tonite I conquered the continuous staircase for 20 minutes without stopping. It's been hard but I think in getting in track. This should help me in my journey with lap band.

Post Surgery: How Will Your Body Respond If Your A Workout Warrior?
Skyvic replied to marketingdude's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
I will say that I was dizzy when I started working out intensely. I was advised to use a heavy duty protein shake after workout. Used the anabolic 60 (GNC). Up your fluid intake. -

Confessions Of A Vetran Bandster (Almost 7 Years Banded)
Skyvic replied to Fantasy's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Wow that was well said. I've followed the slow turtle because it's the only way I can think about losing weight with band. I'm so happy to know someone else believes in this process and is successful. I hope many read your post. -
Please get some taken out...I did get through this feeling with protein shakes and soup but my surgeon was not pleased that I did not contact him...certainly not a way to live.
-
Honestly I have had a broken week too. Concentrate on all of your personal accomplishments even the little ones that only you recognize:)
-
I'm in my second year just a few months. In a size 12/14 from a size 24... I promise it will happen. Don't let the people who are jusgemental or jealous let u down...concentrate on the journey, I know it takes longer, hang in there. Sometimes people say hurtful things because they are people who are unsure or hurting themselves. U r going to do great!!!!

Ha I'm the same way on the food leftover on plate. I finally got some pretty little appetizer plates these are "mom's plates" according to the family. It keeps me in check not to over eat. Hope the stuck feeling is gone.
-
Congratulations...it is amazing how not only will you feel but how you will look as you get this weight off. Getting below 200 feels like you are stepping into a new world!

I sometimes measure a lot of my food. I try to limit to a cup or 1 1/2 cups in my earlier months. Try to remover those silent type stops. Or practice stopping before you get full feeling and just wait. My nutritionist had to remind me to SLOW down wen eating.
-
Don't go throw up. Do you have a sip of pineapple juice? I would not eat on top of this feeling. Take it slow and get back on your full liquids till this feeling goes away...maybe call doc in morning. Ate you so bad in pain?

You will get your "mojo" back. Start with a powe walk -
Let me say first I never thought I was capable of weight training. Not only does it make me feel strong, but I'm losing inches. I don't do heavy weights it's core training, I do five reps of ten in a circuit style from machine to free weights including sit-ups on excercise ball. My stomach is shrinking and legs are tightening up. My arms aren't hanging like before. It has been a huge lifestyle change I am embracing. Good luck!

I made this fabulous teriyaki tofu spicy udon. The noodles are wheat-flour and very thin. I used the George Foreman grill. I can get the wheat-flour noodles thru my band!!!!! Of course I ate slow,chewed...tofu so tender but also crisp like it was seared on a real charcoal grill. So forty minutes later my stomach feels awesome!!!! This is a winner. Better Homes Grilliing page 24 out til June 26.
