I have one skinny margarita per week or every other week. It's delicious and for some reason I crave lines. Never did before my band, in fact I hated the taste of margaritas. Occasional glass of elderberry wine.

Get to your doctor, this should not be a miserable experience as long as you are following the rules. but if you can't get liquids down this means you need to see your doctor.

Oops you got to place your back on the wall as if sitting on an invisible chair...push yourself to 30 seconds if can but five sets of these within. 30 minutes.
-
Pretend you are sitting on a chair at 90 degree angle count 15 seconds without stopping. Stand up them go back into the position again for another 15 seconds. After my first session of these I was so sore I could barely sit on a toilet ( no joke) I had to really help myself sit down anywhere!!!! It really helps the thighs, butt, legs... And it's free if you have a wall.

Dont cry...it's going to come off when you keep your eye on the prize. Be patient, and when you have energy start that walking and moving even if it's baby steps. Follow those rules, up your protein intake (60-80 or what your surgeon advises). Before you know it you will be putting those size 22's away, 17's,16's and more...treat yourself along the way but look for good sales!!!! You are going to do awesome!

I know this sounds crazy but... I'm not hungry in the morning until later. This afternoon I laid on bed reading the forums, took a nap, drank ice tea with Splenda cranberry juice, laid down watched a movie and enjoyed being a bum. I just got up to have a snack frozen yogurt. I felt so restricted that I couldn't finish the yogurt. Has anyone experienced this in late afternoon after lying down?

Thank you for reply! I guess it has been a long time that I have napped in the afternoon. Here dinner will be at 7:00 pm and I can't imagine eating. May need to go for an evening walk first. -

Yes! It has happened to me. Since the first week of fill I usually stay on the three days of full liquids, then gradually regular foods. Between retaining water, I have often felt more restricted later down the road thinking I needed another fill when I actually was way tight from the full I had earlier. I've learned to take it slow and try to listen to my body.
-
My surgeon told me that having a full can make your stomach feel sensitive because it's being messed with and a full is an adjustment in the stomach. I was told to stay in full liquids for three days first, then gradually goi into regular diiet. I usually feel yucky the first few days and sometimes feel tighter restriction one week later.

As you lose more weight and become hungrier in between meals you will go to your surgeon and have fluid placed in the band. Everyone is different so you may need just a bit or more saline filled in your band. It will give you some restriction in which you will need to follow those eating rules. Good luck in your journey!

Light Headed And Dizzy After Treadmill...anyone Else?
Skyvic replied to dhales's topic in Fitness & Exercise
Yes! I was dizzy after doing a one hour treadmill going up to incline 15 and back down. I drank plenty of water but I think I get motion sick easily. I ended up having a huge muscle recovery protein shake when I for home. Seemed to help. -

Would Like A Positive Buddy
Skyvic replied to dianalyn's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Hang in there I am thrilled about my band!!!! I am 15 month post op filled at 5.5cc. I have gone from a size 24 to almost 12 with no regrets. Sure there are ups and downs but I wouldn't trade this for what I was before. I an healthier... For instance I excercise and walk four miles at a time where I could barely walk a block at 44 years old. I can tie my shoes now!!!!! Without losing breath. Oh yes, laundry up and down stairs is easy now...it's the little things that used to be big ordeals. Positive: you must hold onto the dream of weight loss. I am truly happy and yes I miss things but not my 82 pounds:) -
Oh yes, I had so much anxiety after surgery. Not only was I in oxygen with a 50 foot cord, but I was tired, no energy, didn't know what to do with myself especially with the thought of eating differently now. Such a range of emotions. Know that you are okay and it's ok you have these feelings. In time they fade. I remember worrying about food, the port, healing my stitches, was I getting enough to eat, drinking enough, just everything silly I know. Your body is healing...relax and focus on healing and looking forward to a healthier you!
