Your surgeon can help you make the decision that fits you:)

I have a sister who had bypass, she is now going to do lapband over it. So no surgery is fail safe. I am a quantity eater so lapband worked for me as it is a tool that also says stop or else. I like that our body still gets good nutrition. I like the fact it can be unfilled or reversed in the event a health issue arises (cancer, etc) this is crazy but I have kids and I liked the mortality rate lower with lp.

My sister had bypass around the same time carni wilson in San Diego. Now, after weight gain is considering lapband over bypass. Her daughter is having it done tomorrow. I am truly excited for both.

Anti- Inflammatory For Sports Injury With Lap Band?
Skyvic replied to JoJo94's topic in Fitness & Exercise
Try natural Arnica (rubs on) and liquid Tylenol. But always check with your doc if u have concerns, they are pretty helpful. -
Small sips and a nice Protein shake after workout.

If you are only barely a month banded, you are probably going through a range of emotions plus your body is also going through physical changes including healing. Follow the rules, stay hydrated, consult with your doctor about your feelings, but just remember you are still new. I am 15 months out and there were days I questioned my decision but now no regrets in happy. I hope you feel better soon:)

Don't be straining too much with excercise, daily tasks, laundry or lifting. Hope all is well...take time to heal:)

I completely empathize and can relate to this death we have encountered, maybe a divorce from the food we know before the band, a tiny depression or sense of loss from what we thoroughly enjoyed. I'm a social and emotional eater, a happy celebration personality. I've had to adjust to this journey. I have taken a liking to excercise (crazy, right?). I think my second year of banding needs more support as we continue forward.

Is Anyome Elsr Having Trouble Using Iphone Lapband App?
Skyvic replied to Britneygirl's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
My I phone lapband app working now:) -
If and when (hardly ever) because i an learning that I can't eat bread, rice, or Pasta, I would end up sliming and throwing up. Of course these are not on the list to eat, so I avoid these. Plus these foods are what got me fat in the first place. I noticed that I do better on a low carb diet with no slider foods, plus low cal sweeteners only. It's tough and I have episodes but also know I eat too fast, too big of bites, and don't chew as well. These all are skills I have to constantly remind myself.

It seemed to me the first two months my body was healing and I had all sorts of pains. I stayed in full liquids, followers the rules, had lots of gas pains and stomach pings while I was healing.

I think you need to check with your doctor. My fills were gradual. This may be too tight for you.

It's kind of ironic, here we must go on a strict diet to get the weight off... Before surgery. Funny thing is... Isn't that why we get the lapband surgery because we need the tool to help us lose weight???? Just remember to do the best you can to get the weight off. Ok a cheat day and tomorrow a new day to get on track. Before my surgery in 2011, I struggled with the strict diet. I managed to lose before surgery but it was a bear! Keep your eye on the prize!!!!!

So I came hone from water aerobics and wanted something sweet but full of protein. I had purchased almond butter from vitamin cottage and mixed it with honey Greek yogurt. Very delicious and scooped my energy level up!

Isn't this crazy? Sometimes the scale doesn't move, but the inches do! Wrapping a towel around my body one of those memorable moments for many...congrats!
