I now I have had a second UTI (bladder infection) so... I had a full August 2, all going as planned but when I get busy at work, I'm not paying attention to my water intake. I go home, rush to take care of the kids, hurry to fix dinner, then go exercise. The moral of my little story: do not forget to drink!!!!! I did and I'm dehydrated once again. The weather is not too hot and I am just not paying attention because I'm not thirsty. Well, after going to urgent care and whipping out that co-payment and antibiotics bill... I will drink!!!!!!!! More!!!! Anyone have troubles like this?
-
I like that idea ( without straws of course) I'm not a great water drinker but I better be after my urgent care bill!!!! It's so easy to forget to drink when the weather is perfect and your food intake is feeling good (green zone) you just feel satisfied all around...just don't make the mistake like I did....got to drink. I'm working on it as we speak!
-
To add, I didn't start exercising regularly until this May. Walked occasionally.

It's still early!!!! I started losing more weight after fourth fill months later. I chose to go slower, I'm in my 19th month and 25 pounds to goal. 268 originally. Size 24...I'm now 176 and in a size 12. My best loss in past 6 months. Band is at 5.75 and in green zone. Everyone's band fills are different. I promise it will work.

Love your posts!!!!! -
I remember being so nervous too! Honestly I worked myself up over nothing. It wasn't too bad. I'm a fainter so my doc knows this and he was so sweet to have a cold washcloth for my head, had the lidocaine for me to put on before I came in, plus did the shots of lidocaine. And talked to me while PA did the fill. It was way over kill. The next time I just laid there and talked to him while he did the fill. Very easy!!!!!

Having Trouble With Slime And Burping
Skyvic replied to valoryeyes's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Have you been lying down a lot with your surgery? I know that this affects my band. Also medications that have kept me groggy, one being percocet that I took for cramps a couple of months ago. Majorly made my band feel tighter, slimed a lot but I was lying down off and on for three days. Definitely have it checked with your doctor. Good luck and let us know his it goes. -

When Do You Start To Feel The Weight Loss?
Skyvic replied to chrissssy's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
You will in time. Plus we all have a distorted image if ourselves. It seems that when the pounds go off you feel the same, when the pounds don't go off , the inches do! Clothes begin to "feel" different, looser, falls of shoulders, etc. congrats!!!! -

Skyvic replied to brlgirl's topic in LAP-BAND Surgery Forums
Edame beans, filet mignon, fish, Shwans chicken breast, pork loin smoked but just put of smoker too dry later, whole grain pasta, chili, nachos if careful, all fruit but oranges I can eat mandarins, poached eggs, crisp bacon if careful, deli meats, cheese...most everything but raw veggies and dry meat or rice and bread...chew chew chew and tiny bites!!!! -
I think everyone's band us different in the way they feel, with specific foods and feeling of fullness. You may just need another adjustment. I've seen people in this forum that don't even have an adjustment and lose as well as feel full. We are all so different:)
-
Full liquids for sure ( my doc says 3 days to be cautious) then mushies until I can tolerate solids...a few more days. I tend to take it easy after a fill.
-
Please call your doctor...it shouldn't be an unpleasant experience having our bands. Let us know how it goes.
-
Meant to say it is amazing!!!!!
-
Oops auto correct IRS lol!!!!!!
-
Yay!!!! What an accomplishment. IRS amazing how our body image/size deceive us at times.
-
Wow it's amazing how different foods affect everyone. I guess a trial and error:) tried edame and loved it!!!!

Definitely rest when you can. Very likely your energy level could be low. Protein beverages help...Isopure can be purchased at GNC or vitamin/sports stores. Walmart has one but doesn't taste great.

My kids were 13 and 10, so it was easy to just be honest, I told them I needed to get some extra weight off so I could be healthier and walk better. They have been very supportive.

Ugghhhhhh maybe I better avoid the soda for stuck episodes or for in general. Thx for advice I'll stuck with my avoid list:( soda does sound tempting but I know it could be a habit I don't want to form.

Yeo I will not touch corn. It seems that social gatherings can be sometimes unnerving! Steak is out unless it is tense and marinated or a filet mignon. I tried a salad at wild Buffalo wings yesterday... Not good if yah know what I mean. I had hoped for success. My husband pointed out that I had eaten earlier at a farmers market taste testing...guess I over did it.
