  3. I use a GNC product. It is the Amplified Wheybolic Extreme 60 in vanilla flavor. It taste pretty good and u can get 60g of Protein with one shake. I drink my shake for Breakfast and keeps me worry free from wondering if I had enough protein during my day. Try it. 3/12/12
  4. I was sleeved 3/12 I didn't have any complication with the surgery. I went home the next day, I used pain meds only a couple of nights for the soreness. Not bad at all. The only thing that I will tell you, is to be prepared for the emotional roller coaster that comes with all of this. For me its been an extremely slow weight loss process. Ive been on one long stall that has kept me on edge..ugh...that's where most of my "was this worth it" & "will I ever really lose weight" thoughts come in. But then I tell myself that this has to work because I'm following the guidelines and doin my best No regrets! Determined2lose:)
  5. It must be an enormous feeling of excitement and awesomeness!! Congrats!!! Determined2lose:)
  6. I was sleeved on 3/12/12. My breath was kicking so bad. I'd brush my teeth and within minutes it would reek again. I asked my doc at my two week post op appt and he told me it was normal. He said that it was all the Protein I was drinking that was the getting rid of the "fat". He told me that it could even affect body odor. For me it was just my bad breath. I'm 7wks post op and don't have that problem anymore. Determined2lose:)
  7. How did ur stall finally break? Determined2lose:)
  8. I'm 7 wks out and haven't lost a lb in a week and a half...very discouraging..but I hope this passes like ASAP :/ Determined2lose:)

  10. I just want to tell u Congrats on losing that much in only 5 wks!! Keep up the awesome work and u'll be able to tell sooner than later ) Determined2lose:)
  11. I was eating 400-500 calories (all my water and Protein included) and now I'm up to 800 and still haven't broke the stall I've been on for a couple of wks, so frustrating ...but I am determined to lose soon..
  12. Inspiring!! Congratulations on reaching ur goal and maintaining it...happy anniversary!!!
  13. Ashley....did you experience stalls? How was ur journey in the beginning? Did you ever feel frustrated like us that seem to be losing extremely slow? BTW...u are inspiring, I too hope to feel like u one day
  14. I started at 262, now I'm 231....It's good to know that I'm not the only one...believe me I've been patient but can't help getting frustrated. The darn scale won't budge and I don't notice my clothes fitting any different...I started using my fitness pal in hopes that it will help me with the food intake and so on...I'm wondering if I should've opted for the roux-en-y instead...ugh :/
  15. I was sleeved on 3-12-12 and have lost about 31 lbs in all. Very disappointed because I seem to have stopped losing weight. For the past couple of weeks I've been on a stall...ugh! I see my self no different. What gives ?!?

  18. I was sleeved March 12th and have lost about 30 lbs. I have been recording my calorie intake and I am only getting up to about 400 calories daily, I'm guessing that's why I'm not losing anymore weight :/ tomorrow I have my 6wk post op, hoping the doc and nut help me figure this out.
  19. I'm supposed to stop fluids15 minutes before I eat and wait 45 minutes after eating to consume fluids again. Which is difficult for me, since I used to always drink while I ate :/ trying my hardest.
