  4. Well I'm 20 wks post op and lost 100lbs, which I'm very excited I hit my first goal two weeks shy of my birthday. I still have about 60-70lbs still I want to lose, hopefully by Summer a majority of it. I was wondering with exercise if anyone has tips on fitting them in to a hectic schedule. I have four kids 2 of which are under 4yrs old and a full time job, so trying to find something that I can do at home and maybe kids can join in. Also any tips on hair loss, I know its at its worst between 3-6 months. I'm so thankful I have (well had) very thick curly hair b/c if not I would be in trouble the way it comes out and how frail it is now. Thanks for any help and info!
  5. Thank you everyone the positive words. Happy not alone and will definitely start measuring. I am looking at plus size my first digit changed lol!
  6. I have to tell the truth I am freaking ecstatic my weight starts with a 2 now.
  7. I was like wow I'm doing great doing everything I'm supposed to be doing and now its like ummmm what's going on is my scale broken... lol!
  8. This Monday I'll be 6 weeks post-op. I was losing 1-3lbs a day, I haven't changed a thing, but now I have only loss 2-3lbs in the past 2.5 weeks. I understand there will be stahls or plateaus everyone hits, but this soon and for this long?
  9. I was told the same thing, but I started using a straw this week and drink a lot more now then before.
  10. I'm just wondering if this is normal? Any suggestions on how I can get back to losing a lb or 2 a day lol! I was doing great up to 9 days ago and now I'm in a stand still, haven't loss anything and I'm only a little over 4 weeks post op. I thought you didn't hit plateaus til couple months out. I think its bc my scale knows I want to get into the 2's,
  11. WOndering if anyone has had to take this post-op..... (I'm lil over 4 weeks out)
  12. Thank you all for your input I did accidently drink from a straw (2 sips) one day while shopping at Sam's with my kids and my daughter (who's 9) made me feel like I was in trouble and being sent to my room when I got home. I burp frequently even when I drink/eat regularly. I think I'll wait til I'm at least 10 weeks out, I'm a little over 4 weeks.
  13. I'm a mom of 4, rangng in the ages of 2-13 and I'm looking for Bariatric recipe sites that would be kid-friendly as well as sleeve friendly.... Suggestions.... Only site I've really found is a ww site Emilysbites.com (i think thats it)
  14. I was told we are NEVER allowed to drink from a straw again. I haven't been out to dinner/take out food since my surgery but wonder, I hate drinking from the cups that come fwith a lid (paper/styrofoam) and really don't want to put my lips on the cups at restaurants. Does anyone have any solutions to this rule?
  15. Does anyone eat sausage or hot dogs (no bread)? If so how long did you wait? Also how long did you wait til you ate a homemade pizza made out of either flatbread or low card tortilla? I was told to wait 6 months before doing full on Pasta and any type of bread untoasted, but I can eat toasted bread within 7 days. Anyone know why? Has anyone tried Dumplings/potstickers? Sorry for all the questions just curious
  16. how long did you wait before you ate flatbread, how many weeks out?
  17. I found a solution to m thirst Watermelon. It really quenches my thirst for the most part, I can only eat a few pieces at a time but that works for me lol!!
  18. Crystal Light makes me sick and gives me pain in my stomach so I don't touch it anymore. I had another post on that. A couple people said it's that special ingredient in it aspartam.
  19. I've tried that and accidently done the big gulp and had the pain, which is not so pleasant. Everyone tells me to do ice pops, sf of course, but I think they make it worse.
  20. I know what you mean especially with the heat and humidity outside..... i just want a big glassof Water and my kids laugh bc I'll take the smallest sips out it and just nurse it for awhile.
  21. I'm pretty new to being sleeved, bout 22 days out. I am constantly thirsty no matter how much cold water I drink, which isn't as much as I would like bc I can't take big swallows at all or else I'm hurting. Also how long before your able to drink normally or at least take a couple ounces at a time.
  22. I drink ice cold Water all the time no prolems. I'm going to try the 4C Green Tea drink packets I bought and see what happens with those. It was my first time drinking crystal light after getting sleeve, and probably my last lol!
  23. No abdominal pain I felt like crap most of the day yesterday.... I drank the Crystal light natural lemon iced tea. I bought last night those 4c energy green tea mixes and now I'm worried I'll have the same effect with them
