  1. I so hear what you are saying! My surgery was a week before you! I had to be re-admitted on Sunday and was released this past Tuesday for dehydration. I was having terrible nauseousness and couldn't keep anything down. Yesterday I was able to get some Protein in with the Isopure drinks. Wow, getting the protein in really helped me to start feeling better. Loving that every day is getting better and better! Take care!

  2. I was a big diet coke addict. It's been over 3 weeks since I've had one (when pre-op started). I didn't start missing until yesterday when they kept showing a diet Pepsi commercial every time I turned around! Wasn't into diet Pepsi but oh my! I'm like the poster from Florida with the high temperatures. I grew up in MS and LA. We had to have something cool. Had it for Breakfast, lunch, dinner and anytime in between! Definitely what I will miss the most! :)

  3. Ok,ok,.... I know it's important to walk, walk, walk. I truly thought it was because I woud feel a lot of gas in my stomach or shoulder. I don't have pain like that. However, I do have problems with getting liquids to stay down. Does that mean that there is gas in my stomach pushing it back up and I just don't realize that its gas. If this is true, recommendations on how to walk.... Before I try to get liquids in? After? Both? How long? What's going to help me the most getting my liquids to stay down?

  4. Hey guys, had surger on 4/10. Had trouble getting liquids in and throwing up. I was feeling very weak. Went to the ER on Sunday and they admitted me and I was just released today. Got some IVs in me. Still have trouble with throwing up some. Medicine never helped with that. The medicine always comes back up. I have found that warm tea helps to settle my stomach. I can't progress to the full liquids yet. Oh well, at least I am feeling somewhat better. I just want to make sure the throwing up stops!

  5. Nana, can u tell me more about your hot flashes? I'm on day 4 and I've been going through some type of hot flash/nausea spells. They occur right before its time to take pain medication. The experience lasts about 10-15 minutes while the medicine gets in my system. I have to turn off every thing and lay still with my eyes closed. I put a fan on me to help. Sometimes, i get a cool cloth for my face. Curious what experience you had? Is it still happening? Anything that you found that helped?

  6. You are doing a lot better than I am on Day 4. I'm just sticking to Water after my earlier incident today with Protein. It was my first try and it came back up and made me feel yucky. I may try some thinned out grits tomorrow since its on my diet. I don't think that I like cream of wheat. I've also got to check into the clear Liquid Protein. I had no issues pre- op with the protein shakes! Good luck with every thing! :)
