59 pounds lost and happy! Still going! Congrats everyone! Don't give up! Our losses are all different but we must continue on!

You definitely need to see what your doctor has to say. From my own experience, I had trouble the first few weeks too. Ice, g2, Apple juice and beef broth were my friends. Oh yea, a sugar free Popsicle ever now and then. I started Isopure after the first week or so and wasn't able to get in the required Protein amount. While you are going through it, I know it feels scary. I had no real desire to eat. Hang in there! I'm sure all will be fine but follow your surgeons guidelines!

I'm having the same issue at 5 months out. It started around 3 months. I was lucky to start out with a lot of hair but I can definitely feel and see how much thinner it is now. I've been good with my Protein and taking zinc. I've been using Nioxin Shampoo and Conditioner for about 6 weeks. I started Biotin yesterday. It comes out mostly in the shower and while I'm blow drying my hair! It's scary! I hope it stops soon!

With 108 pounds lost, I think you are doing the right thing! Congrats!

My NUT says to focus more on the Protein than counting calories. But, I must agree with you....2000 seems like too much! . Good Luck!

I have lost 47 pounds so far. Surgery was 4/10/13. I have a gym membership, but truly have been less than 10 times post off. I just can't get in to it. My arms, legs and midsection are flabby. I need to do something. I was watching QVC Friday night and got sucked into buying a total gym. I figure if I can do a few minutes several times a week that is better than what I'm doing now! . I am in general more active now than I was pre-op.

Definitely check with your doctor about the B12. It will help with energy. Also, get your bp checked. I've read several posts on here about how the low Bp caused dizziness. Good luck!

Omg! I have to go to a birthday party this weekend so I needed something to wear! I went to Dillard's and I LOVE so many things! I'm still wearing 14w pants/crops so I have to go to the Women's section for bottoms. But, for tops I am in a large in the normal section! I am in heaven! But, I know that I'm still on my journey and just passing through these sizes! Having fun but my wallet may have something else to say or my hubby may! Lol. Anyone else struggling with shopping?

I'm 11 weeks out today. I am noticing when I Shampoo that I'm losing more than normal. From what I've seen on here, it's normal. I had this happen years ago when I went on a diet(basically starvation) and I lost a lot of weight pretty quickly (and yes, I gained it back)! My hair stylist recommended taking zinc and Nioxin shampoo. It seemed to help and eventually stopped. Going out of town this weekend but plan to start doing this next week to see if it helps. Thank goodness that I have thick hair!

Hello All, just wanted to do a check-in on how everyone is doing? I was sleeved on 4/10/13. I started out with a few challenges of nauseousness and dehydration. After getting through the first 3 weeks, I haven't had any problems! I haven't really found anything that I "can't" eat. I haven't tried soft bread or Pasta. I can eat a small amount of rice but I can tell that it fills me up quickly! I love my sleeve and how it keeps me in control. I still fight my head "wanting" certain foods but even if I give in, it only takes a little to satisfy me. I see where lots of folks on here have challenges with getting rid of clothes that are too big! Not me! I'm getting rid of everything! As soon as it gets too big, it goes in the pile for goodwill! Sure, in the past I was afraid of getting rid of my clothes due to fear of regaining it back like I've done so many times before! But, not this time! I am going to be successful! So, here's where I am: 5'3, started at 217 and now at 177! Happy Dance! Journey continues on! Good luck to all!

Make sure you are in contact with your doctor! Hope it gets better for u soon!

With the surgery and our smaller stomachs, you won't be able to go by the recommended calories on mfp. My NUT doesn't really encourage calorie counting. She is more into the Proteins and measuring. Just make sure to follow your recommended guidelines from your surgeon/nut. Good luck!

Congrats! You are doing great! I love reading your posts and your sense of humor!

I craved the taste too. Had some Pickle Juice. I talked to my NUT and she said a small amount of the juice was ok but to be mindful of the sodium.
