Laura, congratulations on being a new granny! I can't wait. Well, yes I can, my girls are only 19 and 22 and still in college. But when the time is right I can't wait! What will you be called? Nana, grammy, granny, or have you even thought about it? My girls asked me that one time, and I have no idea. Just think, a new baby around to spoil. You are very lucky!! Congratulations again. Will they at least alter it for free since it was THEIR error? If they had not mismarked it, and sent the wrong size, it would probably have been just the right size. Melissa, wow, I can't believe that your wedding is just around the corner. Remember back in May it seemed such a distance!! That's a catch 22 about the weight loss, though, isn't it. I'm sure it will work out. Even if you lost 10 or 15 pounds, I'm sure the dress will still look beautiful on you. It's YOUR day and it WILL be PERFECT!! Cindy

Well since I'm on a roll, I'd like to share an NSV. I was so excited. Sunday a friend and I went to the outlets. I decided to buy two pairs of Size 12 jeans at Eddie Bauer to look forward to (I'm doing the 14 now). Well, for the heck of it, I tried them on later that night when I got home to see how bad they'd be, how far I could pull them up, etc. I CAN WEAR THEM. Oh ya, the muffin top is there but I was so excited. If I feel the urge to wear them, I can wear a loose top! It's funny though. It's taking longer to go down in top sizes. You would think the weight loss would be distributed. I don't think I look lopsided, but maybe so.

Mini, I want your old measurements (for me, that is)!! Maybe some day. After all, there is hope now. Cindy

It is bulky. What I do is have an automatic shipment from Unjury every month. It kind of helps with storage. I do only get two flavors, though. Just a suggestion. Cindy

Yes, I'm having the same problem, too. I was just mentioning this to my daughter. I have not been able to tolerate bread since banding, but today I ate a grilled portobello with feta, tomato, and lettuce on a small roll, and ate the whole thing! No problem. Not a good thing. My visit with the doctor is October 1, hope I can wait that long. Cindy

Dori, Funny you should mention. I've been thinking of going back to weightwatchers again. I figure it wouldn't hurt to reinforce the healthy eating, recipes and weekly face to face support. I'm truly not great about amounts that I eat, I have just been "winging" it, and trying to be aware of protein and low fat. Did you tell them you had lap band surgery? The leader I mean? My sister has started going and asked me to join her (she knows about my surgery and is VERY supportive). She, however, just had her third child 1 1/2 years ago, and just wants maybe 15 - 20 pounds to lose. Cindy

Laura, Thanks for the article, certainly makes me feel better. Because of a heavy tom, I have been on bcp for several years. Well, two months ago, I decided to try Lybrel. This is a bcp that you take every day, and you don't get a tom!! I love it. So it could be a slightly different hormone level for me, as well as the stress and blood thinners of surgery; and, of course, the quick weight loss. Sure hope it's only temporary, which everyone says, so I'm hopeful. Love the band!! Cindy

Kathy, Yes, I'm right with you, but I don't have alot of hair. Mine is thin and baby fine. I started getting nervous when I would keep finding it on the bathroom counter/sink/floor after blow drying my hair. I upped the protein, am being more diligent about my vitamins, and bought biotin and zinc, and I'm hoping for the best. Guess we just have to hang in there. I am also going to talk to my doctor when I go in two weeks. Cindy

Ragdoll, I'm so sorry to hear you feeling so down. It's probably just a small bump. We all seem to have them. You really are doing fantastic. I bet part of it is just that, some of your clothes are big and the others don't quite fit right. What if you treated yourself to even just one outfit that fits just right for now? Like you, I really don't want to buy too much yet, cuz I'm hoping to shrink out of them sooner rather than later. Try to smile, you're doing great. Cindy

Ok ladies, My hair feels like it is getting a bit thin. I've been paranoid about losing hair with the weight loss, because my hair is baby fine and not very thick to begin with. There are some lose hairs around after I blowdry my hair. I take centrum (now faithfully, I had previously not been so good), and I went out and bought zinc, and biotin. I have a protein shake every morning, and try to make sure I get enough protein with meals. Maybe I should add another shake in the evening? Any thoughts?:help: Thanks Cindy

Wenjea, I'm with you on the re-committment!! Of course, I just made the family a vegetable lasagna for dinner (of which I will have NONE, thank you). It does drive me crazy when the scale doesn't move, but what do I expect when I weigh myself every day. I said I wouldn't but I do!! At the end of the month it always seems like I lose at least 7 or 8 pounds, which is exactly where I should be. I just want more. I'm so spoiled. But I'm wicked happy. I love my band!! Cindy Oops, I almost forgot my nsv....I went to buy new pj's the other night, mine were too big, and guess what? I bought 3 pairs of size MEDIUM. yyyeeessss!!!! (I know pajamas probably run big, but I was so excited. I brought all larges in the dressing room and one pair of mediums for shi...s and giggles. Well, I got to giggle cuz I needed ALL mediums.

Melissa, Don't you just love the backhanded compliments? My dh will come out with them now and then. I think they honestly don't know any better, they don't think. (or as the saying goes, they speak before they think). I also think it just doesn't come out right. My dh thinks he's so funny sometimes. Ha! But just know how great you look in your new wedding dress that will have to be taken in!! That will put a smile on your face. PS I know all about those 2 - 3 pounds. Last Wed I was at 200, but just can't seem to reach onderland. What's up with that? Up 3 pounds, down 2. Geez. Also, whoever mentioned those ff refried Beans with cheese, I love you!! I just heated some up (in the microwave, as recommended), and they are so yummy. Never had them before, but I definitely will again. Cindy

Melissa, How beautiful you look, and the dress is gorgeous too! Your fiance is going to beam as you're walking down the aisle. You are really slimming down. Good luck with all your wedding plans. And imagine, remember trying to decide what size dress to order, and if it would fit. You certainly made the right decision, you may even have to have it taken in!! Cindy
