Sandra, Are you kidding me? After they told you your options of a 4, 6 or 20, then had the nerve to tell you that? She would have better off to not say anythin, my goodness. Oh well, it's done. Just think how great you will look in feel in that dress once it is finished. A new beautiful you (and you were beautiful before you even started)! Cindy
  2. I make my morning shake with vanilla unjury, vanilla carnation instant breakfast, 5 or 6 frozen strawberries and put in the magic bullet. Yum. Cindy
  3. Sorry, but what is a body bug? Sounds ominous!! JK, is it a calorie counter that you wear on yourself? A pedometer thing? Thanks, new to this exercise. Thanks Cindy

Oh Sandra, that's right, the dress problem. How did that ever turn out with your dress for your friend's wedding? Were they sending you a bigger size that you had to have altered? Or were you hoping to lose? Hopefully that all got resolved. Cindy
  5. That's a tough one Julie. I totally hear you, but then I have to think that your dad does this for a living, and also would have to have YOUR best interest at heart. Hmmm. Let us know what happens. Cindy
  6. Who's that was a beautiful picture, by the way. You must have a great eye. (eyes). You know what I mean. How nice is that to look on every day. Anyhow, off to a workout class (jazz) Cindy

Sandra, So glad you're feeling better. How scary that must have been for you. But the most important thing is your health, so don't worry about the weight QUITE so much (I know that of course weight is on ALL of our minds, but you just need to nurse your pouch back to healthy first). Just follow your doctor's orders, and try to use your good judgement. Please keep us posted. Is your back feeling better yet? Cindy
  9. Ya, I agree. Last night I started week 2, and when I got out there, I forgot the times, so I did two minutes jog, and 90 seconds walk. It still felt good, and I did a little longer than 20 minutes. I will be good tomorrow night and do what I'm supposed to. But maybe a little extra??! Cindy

There are certainly all kinds in this world, aren't there now?!!! Wonder what else she forgot? Nope, don't even want to know.!! Cindy
  11. Hi Diane. Just checking in on you. Hope your first day back "Full time" is going well. Hang in there. You are doing so great! Keep us posted. Cindy

Alright people. I am trying really hard not to be discouraged. I have only lost 2 pounds this past month. Yup, since my last fill 4 weeks ago, I have only lost 2 pounds. I should be happy that the scale is at least going in the right direction. A loss is a loss, but still it is upsetting. I'm really not eating that much at all. True, I've slacked on the exercise, but I did start "running' last week. I've actually done it four times already (I'm happy about that)! And I have increased my water intake again, as that was slacking after this fill as well. I don't eat between meals anymore, so what gives. OK enough whining. Moving on. Thanks for listening. Cindy

    Stevia Anyone???

I also heard it was good. I bought some and will try it sometime this week, probably in a cup of tea first. Cindy
  14. Who's you make me laugh, that was perfect. Wish me luck for Week 2 workout 1. Here I go. If I start having those thoughts when I'm in the neighborhood and start laughing by myself, I guess it will give my neighbor's something to talk about!! Thanks for the humor Cindy
  15. Julie, Good luck. Bet you're SO excited. I'll follow this journey of yours as well. Will you be staying with your dad again? Cindy

Way to go Metal and Lizrbit!! WOO HOO! I also love to read people's NSV's. Well, alright, I'll share one. I've been on the thread "Couch to 5K", and decided to give it a try. Yup, I'm running (sort of). I can't say I thought I'd like to run (I used to sprint in High School MANY years ago). But After finishing Week 1, I really do enjoy it. Look it up. You start off really slowly, alternating walking and slow jogging. For instance week 1 has you jog for 60 seconds, then walk for 90 seconds, alternating for 20 minutes. I figure I'll burn some calories, it won't cost me, and maybe I'll really like running, who knows? But that is my NSV for this week, that and my Size 12 jeans are getting loose! (The scale is not moving yet, but I don't really like this scale anyway.) What's important is how I feel and how the clothes are fitting, right? Let's hear from some more May Banders on NSV!!! Cindy
  17. This is so awesome. Thanks for the new thread. I think I'll start week 2 today, then my schedule will be Sunday, Wed and Friday, the the new week starting on Sundays. Have to see if that works! Cindy

    I'm not a freakin' bank!

If you cannot come right out and politely say no, why not say something such as "gee, I'd like to help you, but at the moment I am cash poor". Just say you have no means to get ahold of cash at the time being, or that you are investing in your retirement (which is probably a good idea for anyone to be doing). Hope my little two cents helps! Good luck, it IS so very hard to say no, especially when someone has the out and out b..ls to ask someone for money! How rude!! Cindy

A hurtful comment from a close friend

Kacee, That was nicely put, I agree 100%. I don't think she meant it to hurt you, more likely she was feeling hurt and left out. Good luck Cindy

Patty, It's Sunday, are you back yet? I can't wait to hear all about your weekend. I went to a support group meeting at my surgeon's office on Tuesday night, and that was one of the books he mentioned. He has several copies on his tables. I was actually considering ordering one. Get any good pictures? Can't wait to hear from you. Cindy

I am praying for you. Trust in God, He'll help you through. Please do let us know how you are Cindy
  22. I DID IT. I completed week one. I can see where one can become addicted to running. I was going out last night even if it was raining (the rain actually stopped before I got outside). I still go out in the dark, however. Not brave enough yet to have the neighbors see me jogging through the neighborhood. How silly is that. Oh well, eventually I will get to the point that I won't care, but right now I'm still not that confident. I haven't got an IPOD yet. My birthday is next Sunday (11/4) so I left notes all over the kitchen that I'd like one for my birthday!! Very unusual for me, when asked what I want for my birthday or Christmas, I always say not to get me anything, that I'm all set. Not this year!! Sorry to be so lengthy but I'm just very excited. Starting Week No. 2 today. Good luck everyone. Cindy

Godzgurl and Renewedhope, So glad to see that you are both doing well. I will continue to pray for you. Keep us posted! Cindy
  24. JM thanks so much. I think I'll have to go buy an IPOD tomorrow. Any suggestion? My daughters have the IPOD NANO. (They are in college). Would I be better off with an IPOD NANO or a regular IPOD? I'm only hesitating on the nano because one of my daughter's nano keeps freezing up on her. Any advice on which is best to buy? Cindy
