I was rather out of it the evening of my surgery. I wasn't really in pain, but I just wanted to sleep. I was up and around a little bit more the next day, but I really took it easy for about 5 days.

Thanks for posting these tips. I'm just starting this journey and I know these reminders are going to help me stay on track.

I was having the same kind of pain and I've definitely noticed that it is a lot less if I cut back on the sugarfree stuff. I wasn't paying attention to the Crystal light and that in itself was giving me a wicked stomach ache. I hope you feel better.

The heating pad on my back and shoulder saved me! I didn't get these pains until almost a week after my surgery. Try heat.

Good luck to you tomorrow. I am one week and one day out since my surgery and today I feel awesome. I hate to give advice, but here goes. Listen to your body and rest, rest, rest. I really talked myself into thinking I'd be up and running in two days and I think I overdid it. I wasn't miserable all the time, but I got overtired and then I felt really bad. When I really started sleeping, taking my pain meds on a schedule (I kind of forgot to take them because I didn't think I felt that bad) I woke up this morning and thought well alright, this is going to be just fine. Let your body heal and you will be great. Let us know how you're doing.

I had my surgery on April 17th and I got my first fill today. I'm tracking everything, but once I started working out a bit more, I was getting hungry between meals. I was a little concerned that my dr would want the plication to hold me over longer, but he suggested the fill.
