  1. Awesome info thanks!! Another thing that helps with loose skin is drinking the juice from a coconut it helps with elasticity and it's amazing for your skin. My brother lost 160 lbs (without surgery) and has almost no loose skin. If you fidnt know him when he was heavy then you would never know. He was heavy his whole life so to not have loose skin is amazing. He juiced a lot of raw fruits and veggies too and his skin and complexion look awesome and healthy not like he was when he was overweight.

  2. Just wanted to share with you my story. I was extremely scared to do the surgery! About a month before my surgery date I found out I had diabetes, high liver enzymes, low B12, Vitamin D, etc.. I'm only 27 years old even my doctor said that I was like a ticking time bomb!!! Yikes!! My health scared me more than the surgery at this point. I could die not doing it! I was "healthy fat" for years so I thought, but it's not reality and doesn't exist!! Obesity is a disease no matter which way you look at it and trust me the rest of the diseases follow and it happens overnight! I recently lost a dear friend who was always a heavy guy. He was 27 years old had no idea he had diabetes and all his organs failed him. So tragic and sad. Think of your future it's not just about getting thin it's about living a long healthy life.. Good luck with your decision. I'm extremely happy with my sleeve I have lost 27lbs since April 3, 2012 and I'm no longer on my diabetes medicine :)

  3. Hi everyone!

I was sleeved on 4/3/2012!! I'm feeling discouraged though because I have stalled and I was wondering if this has happened to any of you!? I'm really worried. I'm walking about 2 miles 4 days out of the week already. I'm getting all my Protein in. Please any feedback would be so helpful!

Yes same happened to me. I had mine April 3 too! Dr said its normal right now we lose mostly muscle while our stomach heals. When healed you can intake more protein and gain muscle and lbs will start rolling off she said.

  4. Hey there! Sending positive thoughts your way. Love the decision you made! I've had a ton of moments where I couldn't figure out what I had done, but I had to remind myself what brought me to this situation. Bad eating habits! It's the hardest thing you and I may ever go through, but without struggle there is no victory. Anything hard in life usually has an amazing result. Before we both know it we will be thin and food won't even be an object. We must learn to eat to live not live to eat... You will do amazing believe in yourself!!! :)

  5. What I can't figure out is why I am so embarrased about dong this. That is contributing to my anxiety. I feel like I want to keep it big secret because it shows how weak-willed I have been about losing weight and then gaining it right back. I had to resort to surgery. Maybe I am beating myself up too much. I will take your advice and sort out my feeling in a few days.

It's completely okay to keep it to yourself and close people. That's what I did myself... :) not everybody needs to know everything! Oh and the freak out moments do happen the first so many days. I cried a lot, but feel so much better now. Good luck my fellow sleever!!! :)

  6. Same here' date=' after the first week post op I couldn't stand the shakes anymore.

They cleared me for yogurt (and yogurt only) about 10 days after surgery. I went and got Greek yogurt at 14 g per cup. The first day I had yogurt, I think I had two of them. By the second day, I could do 4 greek yogurts in a day ( I spit out the fruit bits) which got me to 56 g.

After that, I just started working in various things here and there. tuna is packed with Protein.[/quote']

    Good idea! Thanks...
