  1. Dr Sauceda has a forum on Obesityhelp.com, where you can talk to lots of his patients. You can email photos and he will give suggestions on what you need and prices. His email is drsauceda@gmail.com Great surgeon.
  2. Hi All, Well, went to Monterrey and Dr. Sauceda for a TT with lipo, BL and BA on Aug.29 and then eyelids and face on Sept 2. I flew back to the States on Sept 10th. I am very pleased with my results. My flat tummy is amazing. My boobs are beautiful and people say I look at least 10 years younger. Dr. S removed 6 pounds of skin and fat from my tummy area. The aftercare was excellent and I would travel to Mexico and Dr. S again in a heartbeat. I will post some photos as soon as I can. Cheers, Dottie
  3. Hi Everybody! Can I say that the Sleeve rocks! It is the very best thing that I have done for myself! I am a Revision... Lapband to Sleeve this past September. Wish I had done it soooo much sooner! I am so happy with my journey so far! Thanks, Dottie
  4. Most plastic surgeons want you to be stable 4 or more months before plastic. And what I have read from PS... is that losing another 15 pounds or so after PS... will not change your results much. But losing 30 or more... will change the results and you might have to have a revision. My gastric sleeve surgeon set my goal at 185... which seemed pretty high. He said because of my excess skin and fat.. I probably wouldn't hit my BMI goal of 150. And that PS can help motivate you to keep it off and take alittle more off. He said I could consider PS after one year from my sleeve and be 185 or less. I will be one year post op in early September and have my PS scheduled to August 29. I am at 175 weight wise... 10 pounds below my surgeon goal! Hope this helps! Good luck! Dottie
  5. Congrats Missy! Compliments always help, don't they? Look forward to seeing more of your photos! I am alot older than you, but hope I can look half as good... and I will be happy! My surgery make-over is scheduled this August and I am counting the days! Thank you for sharing your story! Cheers, Dottie
  6. Hi Kisha, I am going to Dr. Sauceda in Monterrey, Mexico also... I have been doing alot of research on Mexico doctors and he has alot of fans. You can visit his website at www.medicaltourism.com.mx It has prices and include hotel. I am going this Fall for a TT w/ Lipo and BL/BL. Good luck to you! You look fabulous! Cheers, Dottie
  7. Hi Janarae, When will you be in Monterrey? That's nice of you to go with your Mom... wish her the best from me! Cheers, Dottie
  8. Hi Skyjack! Good luck to you and I will keep you up to date on my progress if you are interested. I will be posting on Dr. Sauceda's facebook book page and his discussion group. I have two good friends that will will be with me for part of the time... but, I am sure I will be in good hands! Cheers, Dottie
  9. Hi! I love Dr. Ortiz and would go to him or recommend him in a heartbeat for bariatric surgery. And I was planning on going to the Ariel Center... but, after doing my due diligent research... I decided that Dr Sauceda in Monterrey, MX was the one for me. I couldn't find any info on the plastic surgeon at Ariel or find many of his patients to talk with. Dr. Sauceda has a group on ObesityHelp.com and Facebook page... so, I have gotten alot of great information and support from them. The aftercare with Dr. S seems more hands on. And when you email or call... you are talking to Dr. S himself... not a coordinator. I also like the idea of flying directly into Monterrey instead of San Diego and crossing the border. Hope this helps! I am scheduled with Dr. S this Fall... August 29 to be exact. Good luck with your journey! Cheers, Dottie
  10. I am a Revision from Lapband to Sleeve... and I am sooooo glad that I did it! Feeling so much better and feeling good about myself! My biggest issue is my mental image of myself is still fat. I keep ordering the wrong size clothes, because I believe no way can I fit into that... and then I get the item and it is too big! I work at a resort and we have alot of repeat guests... so, I am hearing "didn't recognize you"... which I don't get tired of hearing! Good luck to you! Dottie

  12. Hi Skyjack, I have gotten alot of great info about Dr. Sauceda on ObesityHelp.com - just put Dr. Sauceda in the search engine and it will take you to his discussion group.
  13. Hi Skyjack, I am thinking about going to Dr.Sauceda in the beginning of September. Maybe we will overlap. Good luck... what are you wanting to have done? My first priority is a tummy tuck. Second is a breast lift and augmentation. I am going to have to get my stuff piece meat... I can't afford to get everything that I want at one time. Plus, I can't take that much time off work at one time. Hope to hear from you. Cheers, Dottie
  14. Thanks Amykins, Yes... I am definitely swaying towards Dr. Sauceda. His aftercare sounds awesome. And he has emailing me personally answering all my questions. I would love to get all my work at the same time...but, I don't think I can afford the time off work or money. I think it will have to be in increments for me. Question.... if I wanted to get augmentation with my breast lift...how do decide how large to go? What is the smallest available? Thanks and good luck to all. Dottie
  15. Any other reviews about Dr. Sauceda? I like the idea of going to Monterrey... over Tijuana... crossing the border is such a hassle! For the people who have had plastic surgery... do you think taking 8 weeks off from work is enough? Thanks, Dottie
  16. Hi Everybody, Wondering if anyone could me some recommendations on plastic surgeons in Mexico. I would like to get a Tummy Tuck and possibly, a Breast Lift. I was a Sleeve Revision last September in Tijuana with Dr. Ortiz and would do it again in a heartbeat! So, I know that I get excellent care in Mexico... am looking for recommendations on doctors. Also, if you had your tummy tuck in Mexico... how long did you stay in country? Any doctors to avoid? Thank you for your help! Dottie
  17. Congrats! You look awesome! How did you pick your goal weight? I am getting conflicting recommendations from NUT, Surgeon, and BMI charts. Any thoughts! Thank you for being so inspiring! Cheers, Dottie
  18. Hi, I just had my band removed last week and got the sleeve. I soooooo wish I had this option 5 years ago when I did the band! I was so ready to get that band out of me. Go with your feelings and good luck! Cheers, Dottie
  19. Hi All! Just an update... one week out! Doing great! I went to the San Diego Zoo five days after my surgery and had an awesome time. I think it was a record high in San Diego of about 100 degrees! Sipping my water and keeping hydrated. I have had two episodes of "didn't agree with my new tummy"... my fault for trying spice in my broth. I have toned it down and all is well. My flight from San Diego was smooth... got a letter of necessity from my surgeon and was able to take a couple drinkable yogurts and gatorades on the plane. I stepped on the scale today and am down 10 pounds since my surgery. Yeah! Love being here with my Mom and lots of choices for my full liquid phase. Another week and a half and then to softs... can't wait to try cottage cheese! Life's little pleasures! Staying active and walking my Mom's dog and walking the mall and Wal-Mart. Guys, keep the positive thoughts coming and I will meet you all in onederland! Bought my first 1X top in forever today!!! Cheers to ALL! Dottie
  20. Hi PJ, Yes, you can do it! I have copied my post from the other forum for you about my experience this past Monday. You will do great! Hi Everybody, Did it! Done it! My surgery was on Monday and it went so smooth! Dr. Ortiz is the bomb! Had an awesome experience! I am a revision... so, I had my band removed and the sleeve done at the same time. The doctor said I had alot of scar tissue around the band and a tiny hernia...but, they fixed all that. The IV was the hardest part of the whole process. For being a big girl... I have tiny veins and they are hard to find and hit! Ended up getting poked 5 times before they got it...but, if that is the worst... then I consider myself very very lucky! I was in OR for about an hour and a half... pretty groggy when I came out... my friend, Stacy had two heads for awhile. Smile! Got up about three time to go to the restroom... had a little nausea, but the nurse gave me something for that right away and haven't had any other problems with that again. Woke up at about 6:00am Tuesday and read and relaxed until I was discharged at about 10:30 am. No pain, no gas... felt good! The drain was the most uncomfortable part, which felt like I had a stitch in my side (like you get when you run alot). Got back to the Marriott (great hotel) and took a taxi up to WalMart for a walk around, and then walked back to the hotel. Had some Water and chicken broth for dinner and as long as I sip slowly... no problems. On Wednesday... back to the clinic to have my drain checked... all good. Went to the dentist and had my teeth cleaned and then back to the hotel for a nap. Broth and hot tea for dinner and called it a night. Today... got my drain out...yeah! Two days ahead of schedule! Just relaxing and resting today. Tomorrow... head back across the border and will have two days in San Diego before I fly back home on Sunday. Thinking about going to the Zoo and doing a little shopping! Overall, I am sooo glad that I had this done and very excited about getting to onederland! Dr. Ortiz and Obesity Control Center is the absolute greatest and I highly recommend him to any and all! Thank you to everybody that sent me your thoughts and prayers and I am ready to get this journey started! Cheers, Dottie
