  1. Yesterday I was going through some old pics and found probably the only full body pic taken prior to surgery in over 10 years. Had to share with like minded people... Weight in pic: 305 Today's weight: 179

    I Just Had To Share

I am on my fitness pal but have gotten lazy with it. My days are very typical. 20 grams of Protein shake... Low carb. Jerky snack. 4 oz of lean protein for lunch. 100 cal bag of nuts. A lean protein and A veggie for dinner. Usually puts me between 60 and 70 grams of Protein A day. I workout 4 days a week... Cardio mostly on 3 of those and mostly weights on the other. 45 pounds in two months is awesome. Keep up the great work

    I Just Had To Share

Thank you for that. I knew it took about 2 years to tighten as much as it will. Just nice knowing it's true lol

    I Just Had To Share

Thank you guys so much. I never would've thought 6 months ago I'd be in a size 13 from a 24?!? Only problem I am having is the loose skin and the fact I still see myself as that round girl... All in due time I guess
  7. I would do it over again in a second. I'm 5 months out and weighed today... I'm down 100 pounds. I've had not one problem. I eat something if I really want to. I am losing a little slower now I've only got like 30 pounds to go. But this is the best thing I've ever done for myself. I wish I would've done it years sooner. Just know it's not easy. You have to choose better food. Choose to be a better you. I workout 4 days a week. But without the sleeve, I would've never gotten to this point. It's not an easy decision. Do it for you. Not for anyone else.

    Where To Start

I've had the same internal conversation in my mind. The outcome was the same as yours. Congratulations on the 99 pounds

    Rice

Carbs, especially "white" carbs are a no no. No only for the fact that they don't have any real nutritional value for us, but they cause us to want more carbs. And then rice swells in our stomach which is not good. It can make you sick. I would, PERSONALLY, steer away from them. Especially at the beginning of the losing phase when every day and every bite counts.

How Many Chips Can You Eat?

Like six months ago I would've been upset at the sight of you just "wasting" those chips lol. Now I think it's funny and informative. Thanks for the information.
  12. So I'm almost 3 months out. Down 60 pounds including pre-op, and all along I was told that there would be times when a new food would bother me. I've not yet allowed myself a cheat meaning bread, burgers, anything breaded or fried. But I've not had one moment where I've felt sick or known I couldn't eat anything. 2-3 oz of anything and I'm still fine. Mind you it's all been protein(eggs, nuts, chicken, shrimp). I'm not sure if this is a blessing or a curse. What happens when I want to try something sweet, or fried?

So Can U Have It After Vsg...

Eventually you should be able to eat just about anything... But, IMO, should make better choices and protein first. I eat a spoon of peanut butter everyday. So no problems there. Some people become lactose intolerant. So that is on a person to person basis. Other than that, I think the rest works it out. I'm 4 1/2 months out and have not had one issue. Good luck. See you on the loser's bench
  14. Jesus Christ... I love this pure "beast" that I coming out of you. You scream confidence. There's nothing sexier than a man who's comfortable with himself. And love the fact your so open. On a personal and sexual level. Congratulations honey. You have a great personality and are a hottie

    Before/after Pictures

Wow... You all look so good. You were pretty before but the confidence coming off each of you in your after pics... Made me smile :-)
  16. I know a lot of people think "what the h3ll have I done". I was one of them. Your body I, furious at you for the lack of food, you're swollen from surgery still, and all those hormones are pouring out of the fat that is melting off of you. But I promise it is fleeting. It happens around a month to 6 weeks. When your diet is released to more normal foods. When your body adjusts to the hormones and diet. And when YOU start noticing the difference in your own appearance. Hang on. It's not easy, and mentally draining at first. But soon you'll forget you have been sleeved. Thinks become normal again.

    Skin! Does It Shrink?

I'm 87 lbs down in just about 5 months. I'm 30 and 5'9". I was evenly proportioned with weight. Arms, stomach, and thighs were big. I do go to the gym 4-5 times a week and am constantly running after my 18 month old. But still have sagging skin. My upper arms- you can see definition but the under part hangs some. Stomach- above my belly button I have kinda a pouch flap thing (lol... Not sure what to call it). You can't see it with clothes on, but without... Yeah. Below the belly button... Definitely going to need plastics. I still have a lot to lose there, but I know it's not going to look pretty. Thighs- jiggles and loose but not something I'll cry about... Yet. Now I know it takes a while for everything to suck back it. It may get better. So plastics, for me, will wait till I'm about 2 years out. But I've been an 18 or higher since 6th grade. 14 now. So 20 years is a lot for my body to try to fix on it's own. Good luck :-)
