  1. hi

I know you also need to do a nutritional and psych evaluation. at the seminar they have it set up where you can make your appointments right then and there with the people that work with their office. I didnt use them because they were not covered by my insurance. i randomly called nutritionists and asked if they worked with bariatric surgery patients and I found one. I also went to a psych dr the my PCP recommended and didnt have any probelms with Dr bertha's office or insurance. they will also give you a form of lap work that you need to get done. I did that as soon as I could as to not delay anything. I had everything done before my first consult so that I was acutally able to set up my surgery date the day of my consult. all my paper work was submitted a few days later and I had approval within a week. having everything done before hand really help me not have to wait for the surgery any longer then I already had.

good luck...if you have any questions please feel free to ask

  2. thanks for the encouragment!!!

  3. Hi

I have not yet had a fill and to me I have restriction. I cant and dont eat like I would have pre band but I dont really know what proper restriction feels like. I am sure I can eat a little more then the average banded person but so far its working for me. I am actually at a point where I think I may need a fill but I am going to give it a few more weeks and see if I can get over this plateu

  4. HI!!! thanks for the kind words. I had surgery on 11-6-07...when are you looking to be banded?

  5. You commented on my pic of the little girl on the beach - she was using the knife to peel and cut her mango it was odd to us that is why we took the pic. we worry about our kids having guns here but they thought nothing of this little girl and the HUGE knife

  6. Thanks you so much!! You are worth the effort so keep on pushing and you will get there! Find a sort of exercise that you enjoy and just roll with it. if you are having fun it wont even feel like you are working out.

    good luck!

  7. Hi Chacha

I had my initial consult with my surgeon on 10/19 and I was banded on 11/6 so for me everything went pretty fast. They actually gave me my surgery date during my consult visit and about 4 days later I got a call saying that my insurance was approved and everything was good to go.
