  1. I am in the process of going from sleeve to bypass due to GERD. The reflux is so bad. I have some pre op testing to do but I am on 5 different medications more then once daily for this reflux and now it's making me throw up. Love my sleeve but I hate the reflux. I am so happy to see there are others going through it. I am more nervous about this surgery then the sleeve. I am afraid I will chicken out. Ugh.

  2. Misty... I am having the same problem with reflux only mine isn't silent anymore. In the stages of pre op testing. Gastric emptying scan in the morning then nutrition in the afternoon. I am scared. I could stand to lose more weight but I did lose a lot after my sleeve. Very happy actually where I am weight wise. Hope your doing well. Keep the updates coming please!

How long have you been in this "stall"?

Sometimes you get in these periods and we need to kick start it off again. Start back on Protein (liquid) again and move back up to solids again. How much Protein are you getting in one day? And are you still losing inches. Sometimes we are losing fat , but gaining lean muscle! What is your total caloric intake per day?[/quote']

Shane I get in about 60 to 70 grams protein. Its been about 3 months. I have added 2 more days of exercise. I also get in under 800 calories a day sometimes 900. I have measured inches but clothes and jewelry are getting a looser. Just getting to the point of discouraged is all. Thanks for the help.

  5. I am 7 months out and I feel like I can eat at an all you can buffet...., no I haven't tried it, but I don't have that full feeling as long as I used to and I feel like I can eat more. Example, I was able to eat about 3 bites of a grilled chicken breast and now I feel like I can eat 3/4 of it plus some veggies. Is this happening to anyone else? Is it stretched? I also haven't lost weight in months! U an starting to worry and get discouraged.

  6. I am 5`3 beginning I was 242 my personal goal in the beginning was 150 which my surgeon told me was great. I am down 65 pounds since April 11th. I recently told him I would like to be 130, he said that was not unrealistic. According to those charts for a small frame I would have to be like 105. I think I would look sick if I was that small and he agrees. I personally just want to be healthy. I am happy with the 65 pounds I lost already. I think you need to take into account your lowest weight you have ever been and your body type. I have never been 105# I have been 130 and looked good. I think my personal goal is doable and anything else is a bonus in my mind. I also try to tone as much as I can, so muscle weighs more. I like to judge how I am doing by my clothes sizes also. I went from a 22/24 to a 12 and the 12 jeans I just bought are getting loose, that means inches are falling off! I just had to order new scrubs for work, went from a 2 x shirt to a medium and an xl pant to a small!

You will get out what you put in to your sleeve. You are doing great and I have no doubt that it will continue. as far as those silly charts, forget them. You feel great now and that will only continue, from where you were to goal, even if it is still ” over weight” is a HUGE accomplishment! Keep it up, you will be at goal before you know it!

  7. I was never a coffee drinker or a tomatoe lover but now, I want coffee really bad! (I wont do it because I haven't since surgery and I am afraid of the never trust a fart thing..lol) and I love love love tomatoe. One other thing I just found out.... My stomach has cycles. Once a month for about a week, I get super hungry!!! Crave carbs and junk. The other weeks I feel like I ate thanksgiving dinner 3 times after I eat something. These are in addition to other comments on here, they are all true

  8. I too have this issue. My ring (s) flew off not long ago, I was devastated because my center stone has been in our family for years, my mother was the last one to have it, before she passed away she gave to my now husband who put the stone as a solitaire and bought a wrap as my wedding band, so I would need to pay for 3 sizings. He did tell me that I could get a new wrap, or a new setting all together when I hit goal!
