Have read several comments of banisters adding Protein Powder to their coffee. My question is how much powder to coffee? One scoop of Protein powder to 8 oz of coffee, or will that make it too thick?

Every day I feel a little more accomplished. I'm learning as I go and know that I will never be larger than I am today as long as I work with the band.

Banded 5/16/12 and down 38.5 lbs! I love my band! Advice: take the time to make this a lifestyle change, it has really helped me see that, that's what important.

I love popcorn and unfortunately it slips right through my band! I could eat it all day! So I have limited myself to only eating it at the theatre when we go once a month!

I was also charged $600! I have been fighting with them for months now. I have been waiting to hear from someone about the payment plan they have.

The doctor wanted me to come in but couldn't talk to me on the phone. By that point' date=' I was dizzy for. The oxy and couldn't drive plus it wasn't hurting anymore. Just started hurting again. It's so weird bc it hasn't hurt in about 4 days and this came all of a sudden. And it's a burning pain- not like a black and blue mark. Does anyone feel burning?[/quote']I was banded 5/16/12 and my port site was tender and burned up until about a month ago. Now it's like it's not even there! I worried day and night about it but it was just the muscle healing. A friend of mine who has been banded for a year said hers will be tender and burn if she does a strenuous ab workout. If it's not swollen, have fever or oozing I would just give it time.

I was banded 5/16/12 and am down 33.5 lbs. I have 5cc in a 10cc band. I'm definitely feeling the restriction and even though there are days my band is finicky, I'm loving it!

I have officially reached Onederland! I had actually reached it about a week ago but I wanted to make sure the scale wasn't being crazy! I am so excited. Onederland was my one official main goal. Now I have to find a new one to work on.
On another note, after my 2nd fill I have learned that bread and rice are no longer my friends. AT ALL! They have decided to cut ties, and they aren't playing around! So my love for bread and rice has taken a turn, and now it's on to finding new food favorites!

Sorry, I've been MIA for a few weeks. With vacation and all the other madness summer brings me, I've haven't had alot of computer time. Anyway, I wanted to know if anyone still has port site pain? It comes and goes, but it still hurts most days. I have this thing about my house being spotless at all times. So I'm always bending down moping and cleaning base boards. Just wondering if I'm aggrivating it or I never gave it a chance to heal. Some days it real hurts. Hopefully I'm not the only one :/
Yes I still have port pain, some days it's worse than others. I was really worried and when I went in for my last fill I talked to my dr. He said that I just may be one of those people that always notices my port. With it being sewn to that muscle that working that muscle will make it sore. It has gotten better this past week, until this weekend when my and my sons played a few rounds of Just Dance on the Wii. I woke up Sunday pretty sore. I usually will take extra strength tylenol which helps a ton! No worries i've been in the same boat but it will ease up, and just know that you may always have some soreness. I have a friend that she's been banded for over a year now and she still has some days where she is sore.

Sent you an email, not sure if you got it.

I am from Longview, TX and was just recently banded.

Mine is on my lower left side, about midway between my largest incision and my belly button.

I have coverage through UHC but my employer excludes weight loss surgery so I'll have my band done via a hernia repair. I'm responsible for the cost of the band which is $5500 and True Results is financing this at $235 per month which includes fills. I wish I had coverage but I'm willing to do this to get healthy. Good luck!
That's how my boyfriend had his done as well. He also has UHC and they covered the hernia and not the band. All and all is cost a little over $5500. He paid the $5500 cash that day. He has had a few things trickle in but nothing extreme. Definitely well worth the money. I just now wish I would have paid cash because fighting the insurance, after them saying it was covered has been a hassle.
