  1. Day. 8 postop and I am really struggling!! 1st I can not drink them damn protein shakes and all day I feel like I'm nauseated. I keep getting thick spit in my mouth (sorry) and I want to eat real damn food!!!!! I can not lie I'm not hunger but I see my family eating and I want subway, Mexican, and fried chicken!! I have been cursing myself all day saying... What the hell was I thinking!!! I don't know if I can do this and I haven't had a fill yet!! I don't want no more Gatorade that takes 2 days to drink one bottle and I really want a beer and the thought of not ever having one is making me even more irritated!!! I am so over this and don't care if I be fat forever!!! Not in a good mood at all!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  2. This happened to me yesterday... In the mall and I got sweaty, flushed, blurred vision and I realized I has only had a 1/2 cup of smoothie that am and a protein shake. I feel like my blood sugar dropped. I ate 1/2 container of yogurt and felt better but was so sluggish and tired after. My dr says it's important to drink g2 Gatorade and stay hydrated.
  3. 7 day post op... 14 pounds!! So excited!! I am having a hard time with drinking the protein shake. It feels as if I have ate a buffet of food. It just fills me up to fast but I can drink smoothies??? Also today I had a scare incident at the mall. I got shaky, sweaty, vision blurred.. Realized my blood sugar had dropped and have not had enough too eat! And I'm a nurse!! I have to realize I have to eat and drink but it is so hard.

  23. All I can say is I'm glad it's over!!! But now the really work begins. Sore but not in real pain rate it a 3 on pain scale. Please keep up the schedule with your pain meds! I had the beat doctor ever ( dr bagnato from Albany, ga) his staff was wonderful and he made sure I was comfortable. The actually surgery was 45 minutes. I arrived at 8 and was home by 3!! I have to share a secret.. I ask could I have Valium before the procedure and it was a lifesaver. I was so anxious last nite and it helped me get a good night rest and this am I was well rested and calm. My only complaint was I am a hard stick and I was stuck 11 times before I got a IV but also I had took a Valium this am and I was ready for the world!! Just trying to get comfy for tonite but I believe this was one of the best choices I ever made!!
