  1. Can't get over how much of amentsl game gaining weight is, for me at least. I'm not even hungry and all I think about is food. I don't know how to stop :/ I have a sweet tooth and have to figure something out that I can eat that's not too bad, suggestions?

  2. I got my 2nd full today! I'm now at 5.5 cc's in a 10 cc band, I really hope this gives me the restriction I need! :) the game is mostly mental for me and if I know I'm tighter, I think I'll eat less, weird, I know. I really needed that check in with my dr :) I'm hoping month 3 is a successful one! :)

  3. Been stupid tonight and have eaten too much. Band is empty' date=' I have my first fill this Friday an I think I was testing how much I could eat. Hubby made a lamb curry with rice for dinner. Had a modest amount. I was still hungry so had some custard and stewed apples that were still in slices and had a big portion. Now im gassy and uncomfy and angry with myself.

Also have a little pain. I've been for a walk (it's easily -3 c outside) which has helped but I'm so disappointed. This was preventable. Anyone else let themselves down?[/quote']

Ugh I am mad at myself :/ I have gained almost 4 pounds since my last fill, no restriction yet at all! I am eating normal size portions just because I can and I know I need to stop I just couldn't muster the will power :/ today is a new day though so I will try today. I get a fill on the 5th so in a week and I can't wait!!!

  4. My band is a size 10...I have had 3 fills and have 3cc in my band. I have a monthly appointment where I can have an adjustment if needed. I'm 3 months out today!!

Try not to compare yourself to others.....how many/how much will differ greatly between patients.

Hi waiting patiently! I was hoping you could give me some insight, I think you were banded a few weeks before me? I was may 4th. Anyways, I have had one fill, and have absolutely no restrictions yet, I am over eating for sure right now and having a hard time getting ur under control :/ I love 13 lb in the first 5 weeks and now I have gained 1.5 and I'm afraid the trend will continue :/ I'm just nervous, is this normal? I feel like I'm not going to lose the weight :/

  5. Oh my gosh I survived my first fill! Lol it definitely didn't feel good that's for sure, feels like a shot in the stomach I guess, exactly what it is. My dr said my port "swelling" was normal, he said not having a ton of restriction until about month 2-3 is normal too. He put 2 cc's in so now I have 4 total in a 10cc band. He put in 2 during surgery. I am supposed to Be on liquids for 2 days now. I don't feel any tighter but we'll see I guess :) just trying to enjoy the journey :)

  6. Hello may bandsters!! I go in for my first fill today! Wish me luck! I'm kinda nervous :/ but excited and thankful too. I have not felt much restriction the past week and have been eating way too big of portions so I'm hoping this will help me get back on track. Since my surgery on may 4th I'm down 12 pounds currently, this past week I gained about 1.5. The only thing I'm not happy with right now is my port seems to stick out, does anyone else have this?? It seems obvious to me and I wasn't expecting it to stick out at all :/ I'm hoping it will go down over time.

Eager to talk with my dr today and make sure I'm on track. My other problem is figuring out what to eat besides chicken and tuna :/ I don't cook very well so figuring out what to eat has been a struggle :/ hope everyone is doing good! :)

  7. Just wondering how long it took for the lap-banders to go back to work? My dr said that I only needed to take off a week so I did and tried going back to work today (post-op 7 days) and I only made it 2 hrs until I felt like I was going to pass out from exhaustion. I am on my feet for 9-10 hrs with only 30 min break. Just wondering how everyone else felt.

I had surgery on a Friday and went back to wk the following Thursday. I was ok at work but definitely not 100% it took another 5 days or so until I felt 100% so I guess it just depends on how demanding you job is :/

  8. It's good that you're keeping up with the walking and breathing even though it is annoying' date=' i'll hand it to you! lol I'm glad you're not in too much pain. Ummm, I drank all Clear liquids for the first three days and I felt like I could drink pretty freely, just small sips.

You should be able to eat 1/2 cup of food or drink that much liquid without a problem. Your band isn't filled yet so that's strange. Maybe you just need to slowly ease yourself into a little more food.< /p>

    Hope you feel better soon![/quote']

Hi there! I was banded on the 4th and I just had broth and Jello for 4-5 days and I was fine. My dr said no Protein or pudding until day 5. The first week is definitely the hardest, hand in there though! Good luck!

  9. Okay' date=' so since Feb 13th I've lost 55 pounds (yay me!) and in four months I will be going on a cruise. So of course normally I would buy my swim suit now since they don't sell them in September. But how the heck do I pick a size?! I mean if I keep on track I will be down over 100 pounds.. but honestly I'm losing everywhere but my waist!

Sooo.. what to do? My mother suggested that I buy the suit I want in three different sizes but I worry that I wont be able to return them.[/quote']

Buy at target! You have 90 days with a receipt or they can look it up on a debit or credit card if you pay with one of those. Then buy in a couple sizes! Plus they sell separate tops and bottoms and that always helps me lol

They just came out with new ones :)
