So the heaviness in the stomach is normal? Narcotics make me itch.so all I'm taking is extra strength tylenol.

I was sleeved on wed 6/20. When does it get better? I've been fighting a fever and I feel like I'm carrying around a bowling ball in my stomach.

Well I made ot out! SURGEY WAS.longer.than expected.due to scar tissue from band. The pain is Def tolerable, thought I would be worse

So my day is finally here, i scared as hell and cant wait for it to be over! Positive energy and thought for a speedy and not so painful recovery

Surgery is at 10 and i have to be there at 8.

Also try b-1. When i had deficiencies from the band i felt as you do. Very tired and weak also arms would fall asleep at night. I was thiamine (b-1) deficent for a very long time. its worth a try.

IS having you period during surgery a problem? Surgery in 3 days and i just got it! Ugh

I have 3 days to go till surgery and im still so nervous. I cant believe i have to remove a portion of my stomach in order to be able to lose this weight. Is there anyone who did this that has no problems? Im really hoping all goes smoothly and i dont suffer too much and it will all be so worth it.

My Dr says only Clear Liquids the day before. Stated it. Depends on your weight before surgery.

Tom I work here at Morristown and am so disappointed to hear of your treatment. Why were you in the hospital so long? Fishman is also my Dr. How are you feeling?

Congrats Tiff! My biggest concern is this sleeve being like the band. I was miserable with the band just miserable. How does the sleeve take to Protein and veggies? That was such a struggle for me with the band and being that almost everything i ate never made it to my tummy i was always hungry! One minute i think i can do this and the next i'm like NO WAY! Obviously if i keep this date i will have no choice, i fear the unknown And possible rergrets and depression. But when i look out a few months and think about being better adjusted to the lifestyle, that is what excites me.

I'm 5'1 and something and i guess your right every little bit counts. I'm hoping to be 5'2 after loosing the weight. My date is 6/20 and im nervous, scared, and excited all at the same time. Hoping i will take on the challenge better than I expect.

Hi I wanted to hear from people that have been sleeved over 2 years. Wanted to know how you are feeling? Any regrets? Aside from eating do hou feel and function as you did before being sleeved? Im scheduled for surgery on 6/20 my mind changes from day to day. Im not sure if i am just nervous or unsure of having surgey. I had the band for three years then removed last summer. Since then i have gained 50 lbs back and am miserable. My current weight is 225 and im 5'1and am looking to be a more ideal weight for my size. Any info would be great.

June 20th, so nervous!

I'm so afraid to have this surgery. One day I'm perfectly fine with it and the next I'm totally against it. I see most people on here are doing great, I'm so fixated on the ones who are not. Any words of encouragement? I want to be able to play with my kids and go about my day not constantly aware of my size. I understand this will limit portion size but the fact that you can get only 1/2 oz in at a time? I just can't imagine
