Yes, defenitely guys I will go to the surgeon and discuss this issue with him asap I would not want to have any complications after surgery thanx guys that's why I love this forum

I'm also going through the same thing I also have 4 month left and I find myself eating things that I really don't normally eat I did cut back on one meal and sub for a Protein Shake but I gained 3 pounds from my 1st weight in I'm freaking out that I might not be approve because of this. I know it's hard I'm trying to control it good luck on your journey.

thank you for the advice guys I will speak with the surgeon but I'm 98% sure I will not need it because my oxigen levels remain normal when this happens.

So I just got the call from the sleep center and I have this issue. He advice me ofcourse to lose weight fast because this can be the cure for my apnea and sugestted that I really don't "need" the CPAP because my oxygen levels remain normal while having the episode.
Now he did advice to speak to my surgeon to see if he would like for me to use it because there could be a chance that I would have a hard time waking up from the anesthesia.
Have any of you guys had Mild Obstructive sleep Apnea if so how was your recovery from surgery??
Thanx for your response.

I'm also doing the 6 month thing. my surgeon has a NUT on site and I have already seen her my PCP is doing the monthly weight in and was advice by him to try and lose 10-20 pounds before surgery and to always try to make it before the date of my 1st weight in. Good Luck to you.

My prayer are with you keep us posted when you can

Yes, when I went to my surgeon they told me that my insurance would take 6 month the person tha handles the insurance told me that I needed to get my weight in every moth for 6 moth, the surgeon has a nutritionist on site and I did have a consultation with her and I need a psych evaluation. My insurance policy state that I mus have a BMI of 40 or greater and that I must have actively participated in non-surgical methods of weight reduction.
So I know I'm in the right track my PCP told me to try to lose 10-20 pounds in these 6 month we had a 2 hour conversation about the surgery and he just told me he would weight me in and for me to try and lose some weight but that I should not have a problem cause my BMI is 50.
so you see my question is more of does the insurance need to see if he is charging me for these weight in visits and consults or is it just ok for him to track it without charging me. I wouldn't want to get denied for a little thing like that.
But thanx for the advice i'm going to speak with the insurance coordinator

So I was wondering my PCP is a good guy and he told me just to stop by the office and weight myself in every month and he will keep the record but is doing me a favor and not charging me for the visit. has anyone had this situation will that cost me trouble with the insurance company I'm so scare to get denied for any little thing any advise guys... I had my second weight in yesterday and this came to mind any advice would be appreciated
Thanx!

First off thank you so much SLEEVERS for posting your success and motivating the PRE-OPER'S that are here looking forward to our sleeves.
I'm a bit down today my doctor did not tell me to lose any weight but I get my weight in every month and we discuss what I'm changing in my eating. But no matter what I do I don't lose a pound I started at 279 I'm eating less, drinking more Water, Protein first then veggies then carbs and Portion Control and I actually gained I'm was 282 and freaking out that my insurance will not appove me because of this.
I have not been posting questions because I'm constantly on the forum reading questions and I'm pretty sure I will have lots of questions post-op but I'm so tired all the time I have no energy my doctor found my Iron was low and my Vitamin D also I don't know what else to do other than modifying my food making it healthier.
I'm not a fast food eater, I occasionally have a diet soda and I love coffee but I'm down to 1 cup every other day, I'm eating first driking 20 minutes later and even practicing my chewing slowly and not scarffing it down as if my life depended on it LOL. what else can I do guys I want to at least lose 10-15 pounds before surgery any advice would be greatly appreciated.
and even though I'm not posting questions all the time I'm always here lurking and soaking up on everything. I'm so ready for this I have 3 month to go on my 6 month requirement.
