  1. My heart goes out to you. I understand how you feel. The surgery is the easy part, fixing your head and thought process is alot harder. I had my surgery 11 months ago and I have lost 167lbs. It is the best decision I have made. I also see a behaviorist, and have a few close people who I can talk to. I strongly suggest you do the same. Also working through the over eaters workbook is very helpful. Good luck

  2. I have only told about 5 people, everyone else thinks I've done Opti-Fast. I did it before and lost 110lbs so they just think I'm doing it again.

I agree with the others, some people are not comfortable commenting on weight lost. It can be upsetting, but look at it this way, those people accepted you for you, and did not continually judge you by your size.

I'm in the same boat. I've lost 107lbs and I get 1 one 3 comments. 1. nothing 2. Looks like you have lost some weight (I want to scream REALLY) 3.You are looking good.

Hang in there, you are doing it for you and know one else.

    Keep positive!

  3. I have just hit 104lb loss and for that I am extremely greatful. I have 100lbs to go and I have to admit I hate excerising. I do met with a trainer once a week to keep me accountable. I have taken swimming lessons this summer so I can swim in the real swimmers lanes at the YMCA, and go for at least one power bike ride a week. I'm just tired of not being able to keep up. The Y's pool is 75ft long and I can not complete 2 laps without stopping, and my knees hurt on the bike ride. Power walking is exhausting. I know I need to increase my cardio to improve my swimming and walking so I keep trying, but it does not seem to be improving. I realize I have made improvements to my health and mobility and am just venting. I'm just getting tires instead of pumped up. Why can't reading and computing be a cardio workout?;)

Thank you for letting me vent, I'm off to the trainer today! Yah

  4. Hang in there and listen to your body.

I was sleeved on Monday and had horrible, painfull gas for over 9 hours. Keep typing to burp and walk.

As far as drinking I hardly got any Water in while I was in the hospital. I started with very little sips because I was afraid. Today was the first time I'm going to get everything in. It just takes time.

    Be patient and good luck!

  5. Started my pre-op diet Tuesday, down 8 lbs. Its not to bad, but I find myself watching the clock waiting to eat again. The hospital called for pre-registration, started to have an anxiety attack. I know this is the right decision, but I'm so afraid of failing again. As the 9th approaches I feel my anxiety rising. Anyone one else with the same feeling?
