    Eyewonder I'm glad you decided to sit down and tell every one how you was feeling. It did you good and I know that it also helped some one else for you to post this information. Thanks and know you will be in a lot of minds come you surgery. We will be there with you!

    Hey ladies I called my dr office today about going to the gym. I was told no strenght training for at least my first 6 weeks, at least nothing over 20 lbs. And yes go ahead and push my self on the elliptical, bike and treadmill. And I was explained that the reason my tummy hurt was because of scar tissue healing and right now it has had no exericise so the scars are healing the tissue hard. And the exercise will do the scars good to limber up. I hope that makes since to you. The way it was explained to me made since. Natalie I'm sorry I forgot to answer how often I eat. I eat ever 4 to 5 hours and I'm usally satisfied for that long. I'm having a hard time getting my breakfast in. Which I have always been bad at it. I think I need to do more on the weekend to get me organized for the week. So I can get breakfast in.

    Natalie, I'm so sorry to hear that you are hungry . Are you eating meat yet? I know yesterday or the other day you said you was afraid to try meat for fear it would get stuck. If your afraid to get it ground up good enough, why not try baby food meats. My dietican told me that I could do it that way if I wanted. I know years ago when my Uncle had his surgery that is what he did. Today I made chicken breast with some thing I have never tried before. It was called chicken in a bag. It was just a oven bag and some seasoning. I had to buy my own meat and put it in the oven bag and than add the seasoning with flour and water and let it cook for a hour and it was very good and very moist and tender. than I just cut it up small and by the time im done it shredded and I needed a spoon to eat it with. It was with the package seasonings at the store.

    Not a problem with me when you get around to posting because you can see you still beat me. I work 2nd and than go to the gym so it is late by the time I get home. As long as you post I promise I won't yell at you! ha ha!

    Natalie, My husband cooked steak on the grill and I took 2oz of his steak and I think it was ribeye because that is my husbands favorite. Any way I put it in the bleander and add some beef broth very little until I get it looking like a junky paste. This is what my dietican told me to do. The can chicken was very easy tonight. I just took my fork and it shredded pretty easy kind of like tuna does. Are you going to post your pictures to your album? I plan on taking pictures at the 1st of every month also. I also plan I doing my measurements also. I know what you mean about going out to eat. Its not that easy being in the mushie stage. Over the weekend my mom and I stopped at Wendy's. We shared a baked potatoe and I orderd a grilled chicken wrap and took the chicken out and shredded it as good as I could. My mom says that she is enjoying me being on this diet because I order what I want and she eats my left overs. which is usaully more than what I get to eat.

    Thanks Ladies for your advice on working out at the gym. I did go to the gym today and I walked the treadmill for 30 min and I rode the bike for 10 minutes. I think I could have rode the bike longer but I was not comfortable on it. I could not figure out how to move the seat and I was sweating and I said heck with it. My tummy was sore all day today so I took it easy at the gym. I didn't try any thing that I thought would hurt tonight. I'm supposed to meet with a trainer on Thursday but I'm going to call the dr office and check with them first. See what they think about my workouts. breakfast Bananna (Was in a hurry today and it was the only thing I could think to grab) Lunch 1 egg 1/4 c egg subsitute 2 oz mixed fruit in own juices Supper 2 oz canned chicken meat traingle laughin cow vegetable cheese (mixed this with the chicken and it made a great chicken salad) 2oz mixed fruit in own juices snack fat free pudding cup banana

    Please do join us! I would love more people to watch over me and yell at me if they don't hear me or if I don't go to the gym and so on. Of course i'm a woman so I would love to yell at any one that is not keeping up their end of the bargain. . So Lose_it do you think I should have pushed my self at the gym last night when my tummy started hurting or do you think I did right by quiting? Any one please let me know what you think I will be leaving shortly and would like to know before I go to the gym. Wednesday will be 3 weeks after surgery.

    I can not believe how soon every one is getting their first feels. I was banded on May 2 and I don't get my first fill until June 27. That is 8 weeks after my surgery. Do you think they made a mistake? do you think I should call my doctors office and double check. I don't fill any restriction either but I have been sticking to my diet and I try not to eat but every 4-5 hours and I have been doing fine. Since surgey I have lost 14 lbs. remember that you don't want to put to much in your stomach now because the lab band is new to us and just recently was stitched to the wall of our stomachs and we sure don't want to do any thing to damage it. And I think eating to much would put to much strain on it.

    Hello everyone that is reading but not particpating, I know you are there! lol any ways Hello Natalie, First day back to work for me and it went pretty good. I received a lot of compliments today that made me feel really good. Well I got up today and did my normal routine stuff and than I headed to the gym to sign up. Well I got signed up for the gym and that made me fell great also. Ok Natalie here is my day. breakfast 2oz oatmel splash of 1% milk 2 pks of sweet n low lunch cottage cheese with peaches 100 calorie pack 3.9oz budding meat pkg ham 2oz laughin cow traingle Supper 2 oz beef 2oz cottage cheese laughin cow traingle worked out at the gym for 37 minutes. I really wanted to due a hour but my tummy started to hurt so I thought I better not push it yet. This Wednesday will be 3 weeks since my surgery. So Natalie do you think I should have pushed it? please be honest! p.s Natalie I will probably always post this late now that I'm back to work. But today there was talk about bringing me into work earlier and that would be a plus in my book. So just a great day for me! lol

    I can remember that, I did not drink much either. I remember because I was afraid I would always feel that way. I would say I did not get up to 64oz of liquid in me for at least a week to week in a half. So it sounds like you are on track. lol

    The way my doctor talked I don't think I'm ever allowed broccoli. Maybe I need to check. say if it is just a matter of a few months I can handle that.

    ok ladies I just came from joining. The only thing I didn't like was I tried putting 2oz for the meat I ate and it will only let me pick from there list which none of them is what I need so the calorie count is not correct. So I made comments in the notes about the differnce that I ate. Is that what you are doing or am missing something on the food counter? Please let me know. thanks

    Natalie was you also told no skin on fruit? I was also told no corn, broccoli or cauliflower. I love these vegetables, are you allowed to have them.
  19. I wish my doctor would have told me that. She did tell me that I might hit a spot in the road that I might put some weight back on, but I'm not going to let that happen.

    I'm almost starting my 2nd week in to mushies. Not been to bad. I've had scrambled and poched eggs, scrambled ground beef, refried beans, shredded chicken, mash potatoes and greenbeans, peas, carrots, cottage cheese. I'm sure there are other things but can't think of what they are. But I have to ask, did your dietican tell you that you would be able to eat 1 c of food? I was told the most that I will every eat is 3/4 c. I'm only at a 1/2 c now. I get 2 oz of meat and 1 oz of vegetable and 1oz of fruit or potatoes. I really haven't looked to see what I start after this 2 weeks. I guess I better take a look.
  22. Yep, That sounds like the diet I was on before surgery and I think a few others also had this diet.

    On my diet I was allowed fruit juice for 2 weeks until I started my mushies. And than I was told no more.

    Ok Natalie and any one else that would like some accountablity. Lets start on Monday May 23. Does that work for you Natalie? and any one else that wants to join us. Ok I work 2nd shift and I'm on central time. So Come Monday if I have not started a accountabilty some one go ahead. I think this will help a lot of us. I think We should state what we ate and exercise we did for the day. Is there any thing else we should look for? All suggestions are always welcomed!
  25. Yes I'm there also! I try to stay away from the scale and focus on the amount I'm eating and the weight will follow. Since I have had surgery I lost 12 lbs. 10 was the first week after surgery and 2lbs the second week and I'm going into the 3rd week and I havedn't seen the scale move. So I just said the heck with it and focus on eating correctly and hopefully when I weigh my self at the end of the week it will look better. Hang in there! My first fill won't be until June 27, I can't believe that I have to wait that long. My surgery was May 2 so that means I will have to do this on my own for 8 weeks. Did the doctor say when you would get your first fill?
