    Crushing Up Pills

My doc let me take two flinstones complete chewable with iron. I didn't do calcium until six weeks when I could swallow. I've all docs seem to have different practices. It sounds pretty awful. It does get better, I promise.

    Crushing Up Pills

It was six weeks for me. Try taking with apple sauce and mixing some Splenda in. This helped me when I was taking bitter yucky Tylenol.
  3. You look amazeballs in you costume! Congrats!

    Working Out Ti Much?

I personally think its up to the individual. If it feels good go for it. I also have an elliptical and treadmill. I alternate Zumba, treadmill, and elliptical 4 days per week. I have to stop myself from working out and some weeks do 5 days. I usually get in 60-80 minutes of working out. I am afraid of transfer of addiction. I also have two children, husband and graduate school and am striving for balance. I don't want to get lost in a vicious cycle of exercising all out and then stopping from being exhausted. Then comes the guilt and shame. Unfortunately, I have done this time and time again pre surgery and the weight always came back. In my crazy mind if I overdue it, the same thing will happen and failure is not an option.

    Weird

It's been like that for me since day one. I have always been able to drink liquids fairly easily. Some of us are just lucky that way. Don't be alarmed just go with it.

    Bread

Tortilla, wraps, and wonton wrappers. I am 11 weeks out and I have had bread and it doesn't make me sick. I just make other choices since I get full really quick. I can't eat all of my protein if I have it. I would only eat a little and see how you feel.
  10. This too will pass. Just keep doing what your doing and eventually the stall will break. You could eat a little more and that may fool your body out of starvation mode. I am told stalls are your bodies way of adjusting to the change.

    Hemorroids?! Is This Normal?!

I am sure it will go away. I am glad it's under control. I am sure someone will chime in.

    Hemorroids?! Is This Normal?!

I am so sorry. That is kind of a touchy subject. I've never had them but be glad you have not had any issues with constipation. It took my body a moment to adjust to all the protein. I try to get fiber in via veggies or fruit. That is the worst and all those over the counter drugs are disgusting.

Where Do I Get My Membership Card...

Congrats on your loss! You have done amazing and you should be so proud. It takes a lot of guts to go on this weight loss journey but you deserve to be healthy. I don't care how much we weigh, we all are beautiful, inside and out. Don't mourn the person you were, celebrate the person you are and the even better person you will be. This journey changes us all and even if you don't lose another pound know your value and worth.

Congrats, 110 lbs is an entire person! How did you do it? Amazing. I am at 11 weeks and have been losing about 2lbs a week. I know we all have our own journeys but I am so J.

What's On The Menu? Let's Share...

I think this is a recipe from egg face that uses wonton wraps and ground beef made in cupcake tins. Small bariatric servings. http://theworldaccordingtoeggface.blogspot.com/2008/05/bacon-cheeseburger-bites.html

    Anyone Juice!

I am not sure as I personally hate all of the unflavored Proteins. I mostly drink Premier Protein or Isopure.
  18. My Docs plan introduced regular foods at week 3 chewed thoroughly. Congrats on you weight loss! Sounds like you are doing really well. I have always wondered about the variations in food progression from doctor to doctor. Good luck on your journey.

    Anyone Juice!

I had apple juice and grape juice in the hospital. Sounds interesting do you add protein to it?

    Is This Normal?

Yup, there are some that have it fairly easy. I had no gas and woke up thinking it had not been done. Went home very next day from the hospital. Never had issues taking in liquids. Guess Just lucky. I am a slow loser so maybe that balances things out. Enjoy it.
  21. You look great! That is amazing progress.

    How Long Before Normal Lifting?

My doc said 8 weeks before I could lift or exercise outside of walking.

    How Much Protein?

I was told from my Nut 120-140 based on my weight. I take two protein shakes per day an usually hit 90 to 100 on a good day I have gotten 120. I like the other calculation because I am usually at 90 grams.

    I Want To Cry... :(

That stinks some insurance coordinators are better than most. I went to a doctor who had a bariatric coordinator who did not return calls. I actually switched offices to another practice. Life is too short to deal with ratchet arse bariatric coordinators. I am a stressor so I need someone on their job. I am sorry for your troubles, I hope things get better.
