Before and After Pics

Dang, look at those abs. Great definition. Looking good! -
It falls out for about three months and then stops. It does grow back so try not to worry too much. I got a cute haircut to camouflage the thinning areas. There were times when I wanted to cry. It does get better. Keep your head up!

Just bought my calcium chews with this deal. Good looking out. Many thanks! 180 chews with 500 mg calcium citrate for 42 bucks. Bought two packages. It's the hardest for me to get in. -
Everyone is different I never had any issues drinking after surgery. I think I posted something similar.

Me too. The good thing is there still a level of restriction so I can't go back to eating a whole pizza. Seriously, I could eat a whole pizza. Now I can eat a slice and I am done 3/4 through.

No, I am a year out and I could eat a whole hot dog and bun at 8 months. It gets scary how much you can eat after a year. I try to avoid the carbs as much as possible. Next time just eat the hot dog, no bun. It's like the training wheels come off. It's all you pretty soon.

I think the surgery just throws your hormones out of wack. I have Mirena and hadn't had a period in almost 4 years. A week after the surgery my period came. It's been back ever since. I loved having no period. It's been a year so I will see if my New Mirena (yup reupping) will cause my periods to stop again. I hope things get better for you.

This is good. Would've probably saved me some toilet time in the beginning. Lol. -

This is a TMI wait until you get to the constipation. I didn't get regular without fiber or milaax until month 5. It does get better though. -
Just gonna go ahead and put this out there.....

You will be grateful you did it. I was too ashamed to take pics before I lost the weight. I have a few pics here and there but no real/true comparison. It will really come in handy in a couple months when you post your before and after pics. So wish I had done it. -
Bye bye Lane Bryant!
Almostthere34 replied to Nursebarbie's topic in PRE-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
Good riddance. It's wonderful to go to Target, H&M, forever 21 not plus. It's also hella cheaper. Don't miss Lane Bryant, Ashley Stewart, or the Avenue. None of those clothes were even my style. Love shopping in the Jr's section and feeling young again. -
Look out world, here I come in a bikini
Almostthere34 replied to jensjoy28's topic in The Gals' Room
You are fearless. My stomach has really flattened out but I can't bring myself to wear a bikini. My stretch marks from my two children are too ugly. One day though. #dreamer. -

Is it just me?
Almostthere34 replied to Trcyprkr70's topic in POST-Operation Weight Loss Surgery Q&A
You may be eating quick and not giving yourself enough time to eat. This happens to me when I eat too fast. I have a hectic job too so sometimes you have to slow down and eat slower. If this means working or for me typing while you eat then maybe you should try it. Make sure you get your nutrition. It's really important. -
I am not sure if I count as a vet. My one year surgiversary was yesterday. I exercise 4 days per week, 2 days on the elliptical for 60 minutes, and a slow walk for 20 minutes and Zumba two days a week. I think exercise has contributed to the hardness of my body. I have really good muscle memory. I have always exercised on and off. I tried to commit to no more than 4 days per week but I love exercise especially cardio. When I am running I feel my body working and I feel amazing. This may be why I keep losing. I am working on eating higher calorie healthy foods and snacks to offset the additional calories.

You look so good. And you are tiny. Great job!

I am late to the post but I am glad you are ok. I love your psychologists quote. I am going to add to my fb page. Also glad to see everyone be so kind and caring for fellow sleevers even those with tough love. I wish you luck on your journey and sending positive vibes your way. -
Hair Loss
Almostthere34 replied to Savedbyamazinggrace's topic in Tell Your Weight Loss Surgery Story
Very good point. I went through the hair loss and although I knew it was coming it was still hard. Being a fat girl all I used to have was my nice hair. The peak of the loss was about three 3 months to about 6 mos. It slowed down around 6 close to month 7. My one year surgiversary is coming up on the 15th and I can still see the effects but its growing back. Thank goodness. It will pass but that didn't make it easier for me. I did have to cut my hair to a bob and forgo my relaxers. Chemicals and hair loss are not compatible. Good luck and the nioxin shampoo did slow the loss a little or at least I would notice decreased shedding. -

I would ask her to rewrite it if there is an issue. No sense in wasting good money.
