    Just Had To Post..

I am not post op but I thought mucas is a symptom of sliming. I am new but I learned about it on this site. Sliming happens when you have eaten too much. For those post opers please let me know. Is this just something to expect?

    Carnie Willson

I thought she got the Allergen lapband. Good for her. I applaud her for having the courage to do something so public in front of the world. I am for what ever WLS works.
  3. just peeking in. Lissa, what are slimes?
  4. I want to live life on my own terms. Right now I am merely existing. There is so much more to life and I deserve to be around to enjoy it. I owe it to myself and everyone I love and who love me. Ok before I break into song because life is for living.

Things I can't wait to do!

I can't wait to feel normal. Can't wait to have my knees feel better as I walk up stairs. Can't wait to shop at H&M or any normal non plus size store. Can't wait for June 15th although I am scared #%*#.
  6. You have the same problem I have. I hate taking pictures because I am so unhappy with how I look. You have to start taking picture now, otherwise you won't be able to see the difference. I am sure you look fabulous. As you have lost 67 lbs, you definitely look different. Congrats on your loss! Please celebrate your success. I know it was not easy.
  7. Mews, did the air from the CPAP increase the gas in your tummy? I am kind of worried about this part.
  8. I read somewhere that 70% of overweight adults have sleep apnea. I was surprised to find that I have sleep apnea. My apnea seem to happen in my REM sleep so I had to come back for the CPAP titration. The machine is the best sleep I have ever had. I haven't gotten my machine yet but I will probably get it next week. I checked into the reasoning via google and there is some correlation between sleep apnea and mortality rates of Wls patients. I want to be here and it's why I am doing the surgery so any extra precautions are fine with me. the Bariatric Coordinator told me I had to do it before she applied to the insurance which is why I did it first. I think it may have been used as a comorbidity for me since I don't have diabetes or hbp.

    I Love My Sleeve!

I am so happy for you. congrats!
  11. I pretty much told everyone who works directly with me that my surgery is scheduled. I really feel like this is something I need to do. I am not apologetic or embarrased about needing help and why should I be? I am not going to do a Starr Jones. Yes it none of their business but if someone asks I will tell them. Of course I haven't had the surgery yet so maybe I will feel differently after. I am proud to have made the decision. Besides the people I work with for the most part have responded pretty positively. I am new to the forum so I just want to add that I am in no way glorifying my weight gain but I have to be able to forgive myself before I can make any progress. Real talk

    What Did I Do?

This post scares me since i am pre-op. I have been doing a ton of research and it appears common to regret the procedure. The posts are all over youtube. The feeling will pass and you will only regret not doing it sooner. I hope you feel better. Sending positive energy your way.
  18. I thought of the same thing about getting my BMI up but decided it would be too uncomfortable. For my local BCBS doesn't approve the sleeve unless your BMI is 50. I am self paying because I am afraid to go to Mexico.

    Not Sure Where To Post?

I wish I lived near you. I would pick you up and drop you off at home. It doesn't sound right to have to go through the surgery and not have his support. I think you should tell him to pick you up. You need to be accompanied for safety purposes. Maybe you could join a local support group. I am sure someone would be willing to take you home.
