Well I Went And Over Did It A Tad

Rock on with yo' bad self!! I love exercise, too - always have. Food has always been my downfall, but not anymore! Can't wait until my surgeon clears me for exercise other than walking. Even at 270 lbs. I was in the gym about 5 times a week! Keep up the great work!
  2. I'm two weeks out and I am taking CVS brand Spectravite in liquid form. It's not bad tasting at all and absorbs pretty well.
  3. Just curious how often you get hungry. I am two weeks out today, and it seems that I get hungry about every 2-3 hours. I ate my lunch at noon (1/4 cup of cottage cheese) and my stomach is growling for more food (almost three hours later). How often do you find yourself needing to eat?

    Pain 4 Weeks Post Op?

Could be your nerves regenerating . . . I heard that happens about 3-4 weeks out. Or maybe formation of scar tissue? I haven't experienced it myself as I am only two weeks out. I'm curious about what others may think.

    So Scared!

The psych questionnaire is typically a personality inventory. As others have said, it is not a big deal. Just answer honestly and you'll be ok. The psych evaluation is supposed to determine whether or not you know what you are getting into, and if you understand what you are "electing" to do. Also, the psych will determine if you have realistic expectations and that you are ready for change. Being on an anti-depressent, or mood stabilizer, should not have any effect on your evaluation. Good luck to you in your journey! It's an exciting time!

    Sleeve Coverage -Bcbs

BCBS North Carolina began covering VSG last summer. Check with your company to see if you are covered. More and more are covering it now. Good luck!
  8. Today is my first day back to work after having two weeks off. So far so good, even after having to wake up at 5:30 am. I feel pretty good. Prepared all my mushies and drinks for the day and things are going well. I do have a desk job, though so there is no manual labor that I have do to.
  9. Hi everyone - first time poster here, but been lurking around since January when I went for my consultation (1/24/12). I have since had my surgery (3/26/12) and am nearly two weeks out. This forum has been an incredible source for me during these emotional, life-changing two weeks. While recuperating at home I have repeatedly been to the forum and have learned so much from all of you. I just wanted to say thanks from the bottom of my heart. You have helped me more than you will ever know!!! The forum was especially critical to me during the first few days home from the hospital when every little burp, pain, growl, etc. had me panicked. My mood was very low and I was filled with regret. This forum helped me understand how "normal" I am and how things do, in fact, get better. I'm happy to report all is well, and I'm so excited about this journey! Hugs to all!!

    My Story So Far (Long)

I'm sorry you are having a rough time. Have you had your blood pressure checked and your blood sugar? If either of these is low it can cause you to feel dizzy and spaced out. Worth a shot to get both checked.
