  1. I am 12 days post op. I walked 3 times a day for the first 10 days. Each day a little longer and faster. I was cleared on day 9 to hit the gym (no weights yet) so yesterday and today I did just that. I got in 30 min cardio before I started feeling light headed. I did 10 min stationary bike, 15 min walking with incline, and 5 min elliptical. Felt great, but it wipes me out bc I'm still on liquids. Good luck!

  2. I was sleeved 10 days ago and I just went to the gym in my condo complex!!! I walk by it everyday on my thrice daily walks, and today I decided WTH, I'm going in there. I didn't know if I would have the strength to do much but I did 25 min cardio. I was headed for the elliptical and realized I was dizzy, so instead I chilled out and then headed home. It felt good and I am so happy to be active this early after surgery. More good things to come!

  3. Hi. I just got sleeved and this was my biggest concern. So on the day of the surgery they gave me a liquid dose of my depakote, but it wasn't an equivalent dose. That first night in the hospital I kinda freaked out on my nurse bc the does wasn't equivalent. Long story short, after calling my surgeons main nurse they gave me my regular pill with a sip of Water. It went down fine. And it's not a small pill, it's coated and oval shaped. I'm almost 2 weeks out and have not had any problems. You will b fine

  4. I had my surgery Monday and was released home Tuesday. First couple of days sucked, but I followed directions, walked a lot & took my pain meds. It's been 5/6 days and I'm feeling pretty good. I'm sipping liquids all day but have got them all in. The gas & indegestion are bearable and the surgery wounds are super small, I have 5 in total. I'm going to drive to my friends house tomorrow to watch Game of Thrones, I have to get out of my house! But doing great! Down 20 lbs including the pre op diet. :)

  5. Protein is supposed to help, but it's a crap shoot. I did Optifast through kaiser in 2007 and lost over 100 lbs and 5 months in i started losing a ton of hair. It sucked bad. No one else could really tell but it was obvious to me and when it started growing back in I had short hairs shooting straight up all over my head. Apparently your body reacts to the weight and nutrient loss by redirecting other Protein sources like hair & nails to more vital organs. Or so they say. It will come back tho.

  6. Had my surgery Monday too. Doing pretty good, I walk every hour and am getting in all my liquids. I am a bit fatigued, have intermittent gas and stomach pains, and my stomach muscles are definitely sore. But if those are my major problems, that's not much to complain about! I'm still taking it easy week one though. Besides my hourly walk abouts i am resting the majority of the time. Looking forward to being more active next week.

  7. Hi guys. I was sleeved Monday morning at 10 am, and discharged from the hospital the next day at noon. I'm doing well. Walking every hour or so, got in all my liquids yesterday. I will say this much, day one sucks, especially if you've never had major surgery like me. Pain, nausea, no stomach muscle strength ( and u use those to laugh, cough, sit up, lay down!!!). But it does get better every day so keep your eye on the prize! Today I get to add in full liquids like yogurt and creamed Soups. I don't know how much I'll b able to get down but I've been on just Water and propel so far so I'm excited for change. Good luck to everyone!
