  1. They have to pump gas in the body to have room to work. It will go away. I had it in my shoulder but it definitely leaves.
  2. Had my surgery May 17th. Had my first checkup today and down 18 lbs. Feel great and best of all, NOT HUNGRY!!!!!!! YEA
  3. I have no cravings. I have stuck exactly to what the doctor said. I paid for this operation so, to me, too much money not to do it right.
  4. It goes away after about 4 days. That was the only discomfort I had. Surgery was EASY. Had surgery on May 17h. Down about 15 from pre-op and post surgery.
  5. Way to go!!!!! You have got to be proud of yourself. "Nothing tastes as good as it feels to look good".
  6. I am unable to access the Magazine articles. What am I doing wrong??
  7. 24 hours post op. Did surgery as an outpatient. Came home after two hours in recovery and doing GREAT. Dr. gave me a pain pump. Have had a little gas, but nothing bad. No nausea as I worried about. I hope all those out there with pending surgeries will have the same wonderful experience that I have had!!!!!!!!!!
  8. I am not a good one to ask as I love the shakes!
  9. Steph - I love your posts. You are always so positive. Thanks for your encouragement. I am scheduled this Thursday. Very excited. Today, I went to put on my shorts that I bought a few weeks ago and they are too big!!!! Yea....
  10. Oh you are indeed a breath of fresh air!!!! I am so excited to read such a positive message. I was beginning to wonder... I am scheduled this Thursday. So excited.
  11. Your goal is to stay on your train and don't derail. Fine job!!!!!!!! Hope I will do as well.
  12. I actually thought about not coming to this sight anymore because I don't know the negative comments which are far more than positive help.... I was hoping to find support and positive feedback.
  13. I am actually considering doing some writing on this subject because I have seen it first hand.
  14. I was a size 4 seven years ago and now need Lapband so I know both sides of the fence. Thinner people are definitely without a question treated kinder. It goes from the airlines which are the worst offenders down to the waiters in restaurants. That is one of the main reasons I want to get thin again is I miss that treatment! I notice especially when eating out that you order and people around you look at you as if to say "she is eating dessert". Such a bias!!!!
  15. Has anybody heard or used Advocare meal replacement shakes? I am confused in this area. Thanks bunches.
  16. There with you. I am the 17th
  17. The cup of soup sounds like a great idea. Is that one OK to use? I don't know anything about broth.
  18. I actually like Greek yogurt. Took me a while though. I use plain fat-free and add a little vanilla and splenda. If you are allowed those two items, it is actually pretty good.
  19. I love "Unjury Protein Powder". Does anybody know if that is acceptable. Very high quality protein powder and I mix with skim milk and ice. The Nutritionist said I need to do shake replacement meals because they have more than just the protein powder, but I could add the protein powder to the meal replacement to give it more protein. I just have a lot of that powder because I just really like it anyway. I tried looking for the Carnation Instant Breakfast meal replacement and didn't see it.
  20. I should also be the beginning of May. I have to meet with the psych and attend the four hour seminar regarding diet, procedures, etc. I'm with ya!!!!!
  21. I am so excited! Had my nutritionist meeting, psyche this week, four hour seminar and then can schedule. I am self-pay so don't have to hassle with insurance company - thank goodness. I have a large appetite and so hope the surgery will help. Sort of worried about the pre-op diet, but if others can do it, I feel I can. I am a little competitive so that may help. LOL. I should be able to schedule for May. I am a little confused after reading some posts, when you first get the band does it not have any liquid in it??? Do you lose weight when you first get it or does it have to have a fill? Thanks so much.
