  5. Well, I'm officially in countdown mode now. In less than 24 hours, I will be at the hospital to have this crap band removed! Yes! My nerves are on edge, BUT I have been getting such awesome support from some very dear friends that are actually doing liquids with me. They are the best! I just hope I remember to take the important things with me to the hospital. I can't wait! I think I need to get out of the house just to keep busy. I am sure I can think of things to buy from somewhere! hahahaha you all have a blessed day!
  6. prayers and positve thoughts for those having surgery today and the remainder of the week!
  7. I thought about doing that, but I toughed it out. My doctor felt like it would be better for my sleeve surgery to have been unfilled prior to. His nurse said maybe two weeks before, but I went in a month before. It has gone fast, but the weight gain was fast too...
  8. Prayers and positive thoughts to everyone having surgery tomorrow! I can't wait to join you all later in the week!!
  9. If you can, try to reign it in now. I had my fluid removed from my band in May. I gained 10 pounds just in the couple weeks between the fluid removal and the start of my preop diet. I feel/felt so disheartened by that. Try to still eat by "the rules" even without the fluid. I NEVER would have thought I would "miss" my fill, but I did because even though it never helped me feel full, it kept me from eating because of the fear of throwing up. Good luck to you!
  10. Prayers are coming your way. I am the day before you. I am scared to, BUT I am scared more of living the rest of my life dealing with obesity. I think we will be fine!
  11. I go in at 7:45! I guess I may get to pass you in the hall during the walks! Its nice to see someone local!
  12. Are you going to be at Memorial?
  13. My nerves are starting to get on edge! The days are crawling by... I am ready to get this done!
  14. Prayers and positive thoughts for all having surgery today. To all of those that have had surgery, prayers for continued improvement!
  15. Hi! How are you doing so far? I'm not sleeved yet (next week), but welcome! No ideas on what else to eat since I am on my preop diet and SICK TO DEATH of broth, jello, and protein drinks!
  16. When I got my lapband, I didn't really notice any hair loss after surgery. My sleeve is being done next week so I'm not sure what will happen then. I wear my hair really short so if push comes to shove, we can cut it shorter or go natural for a while. My cousin has had her sleeve for at least a year now, and she lost LOTS of hair even taking biotin. Not really sure if she was getting her protein in though. Let's hope it doesn't come out at all!
  17. Not really sure. We basically got together to get the June group started.
  18. I'm right there with you. This is brutal! I'm having my serving of plain yogurt that I've doctored with a splash of almond extract and cherry extract with a couple of Splenda packets. I don't know if I'm just delirious or this really tastes yummy. I'm voting for delirious. LOL
  19. How is everyone doing on their preop?
  20. Prayers and positive thoughts for all having surgery tomorrow. I will be thinking of you all! Continued prayers for those that have already had surgery. Speedy recovery and healing to you!
