  2. Okay so my insurance denied me because they want a letter from another doctor with a medical clearance and a letter of recommendation for surgery, ok the recommendation letter was original sent...now my doctor has sent the medical clearance letter so i wait again...i have cigna...any one else denied for something and after sending that in still denied...im so worry i really dont want to have to go through an appeal...i think its all a game with insurance companies sometimes, any input???
  3. I totally understand you on that, and you r right sounds like hes going to have an interm do it while he assist, i would let your doctor know this and tell him how u feel bout that..good luck

  6. Its so stressful waiting on my insurance to make a decision, i know i shouldnt but i have called them already and they just got my paper work on 5/10 should i keep calling or just wait..gosh its hard just dont want to have to go throw an appeal, seems to me this is the hardest part.

  11. Thanks, i really do feel this is the right thing for me ive read sooo much on the lapband for years now, im more than ready for the life change, thanks so much for reassuring me, i will just trust my judgement and not others whos had bad experiences...
  12. I am waiting on my insurance approval for the lapband surgery, but ive been reading so many negative things about it, people having trouble after so many years, im looking at the long term of this should i be this worried and have second thoughts?
  13. Hi Maria i was wonder how u were doing, has it been very painful for u?
  14. Hi i havent been banded yet but plan to be in May..i do know most people go home the first day for the most part its out patient...but of course every surgeon is different..if u havent already you may want to call your insurance to see what they require to get a feel of how long it takes before surgery..or if u are self pay i believe the process is much sooner. I started in nov of 2011 had to do 6 month supervised diet, required by my insurance..now all im waiting for is my insurance to approve..good luck hope this helps a little.
  15. I am the same way right now, only i have to wait on my primary insurance to deny it so it can get submitted to secondary insurance which covers it im so nervous, i have cigna....just so ready to start my journey
  16. I was told by my surgeon not to take diet pills in fact there was a clause in my paper work i had to sign saying i wouldnt take diet pills while banded..but of course all doctors seem to be different...good luck
  17. I take singular also, i was told since its so small i wouldnt have a problem.
  18. Yeh if u have insurance that pays 80% i dont think theres anyway u would have to pay that much.... I work for an insurance company...call your insurance and ask them what your yearly out of pocket is!! If they something like 5000 or even less then thats all the OOP you would pay...i think u may be understanding it wrong..im curious to know what u find out!
  19. Thnks everyone now i know what bandster hell means lol, i really appreciate the feed back..im hoping to be banded in May beginning June at the latest, im so ready i have been reading up on this for years and this site is so helpful..so much information i know what to expect and whats to come im so motivated and ready to see my new self!!!
  20. I hear people say bandser hell alot what does that actually mean...im a soon to be bandser and was just wondering
  21. Dont know if anyone has tried ,but isopure is a protien drink not in the shake form..not bad at all
  22. I was just wondering have anyone been working out while on the pre op diet?
  23. I dont spoke and im sure its hard to just stop, if a doctor told me he wouldnt do the surgery because of that reason, i would trust his judgement im sure he has a good enough reason, its scary enough having to go under anes u really dont want to have problems while u r under for an elective surgery..i could see if it were a life or death situation and u had to have surgery..but not for an elective one..just my thoughts.
