Each State has a medical board/license web site. I looked up my surgeon to see if he had any malpractice or reprimands. He was clean as a whistle! I let him know I looked him up and thanked him for being so good that it showed on paper.
You'll also be able to see where he went to med school. Where he did his fellowship and when he received his license.

I have a 10 CC band and I had my first fill about 12 days ago. They gave me 2CC's and I feel some restriction but not as much as I would like. I haven't seen much of a change in weight tho' date=' but then again it is that time of month for me and I am always miserable for a week. On the plus side with the band I do find that I have almost no bloating. I'm not sure if its just me or the band doing me a favor. Lol[/quote']
I'm the same as you. My Dr gave me 3cc's...and totally agree with the bloating! It's awesome!

It's out!!7 hours in surgery and recovery room due to complications
Nose drain' date=' catheter, stomach drain just removed. intraveinous drips still in place. Lots of pain - but Im alive to tell the story
Now to recover before Sleeving in February - if I feel up to it
Im not sure if I can go thru this again - only time will tell
Thanx to all for your kind thoughts & messages[/quote']
It's just like giving birth...in a month, you'll feel up to doing it again in February. Thanks for keeping us updated.

because we are different people' date=' we all have different stories, doctors and take on things
i recommend following your dr's orders. now i eat a cup of food because that works for me
i eat when i am hungry and i do have Snacks. the thing i focus on is Protein first and fresh
nothing from box or processed.
we are not on a diet so keep that in mid. living to live and not living to eat.
eat good and eat well and eat healthy. you can do it.
sounds like you are doing well so far [/quote']
I love you, CarolinaGirl. You ALWAYS have fabulous advice. Thank you for being here and helping all of us. I've learned so much from you!

I had mine yesterday too. I feel a slight restriction. I too have another apt next month. That would be funny if we went to the same Dr

Well, here's how I see it. If you bought something from a store and it had a defect, wouldn't you be able to return or exchange it with no extra costs??? How is this any different?
-
My doctor was the same with pre and post. I did get a fill yesterday and am only just over 3 weeks post op. He put in 3cc's. I'm not worried because a friend of mine had the sleeve done and that is much more invasive. She was on the same diet pre and post. The only difference was that she had to stay the night in the hospital.
I wouldn't worry. But I would try to talk to him about getting a fill sooner. That is WAY too long!

Did the baby break your ribs?? If so' date=' how big was the baby?[/quote']
No, the baby didn't do it. Although I've heard of that. I'm 5 8. They don't even kick into my ribs. I got a bad cold with a horrible cough. I broke my ribs from coughing! It was the craziest thing! My OB/GYN is a close friend and he sent me in for a specialized X Ray. I knew it was bad when he called right away.
He said a contributing factor was the hormone we (pregnant women) put off during our pregnancies to relax and soften our bones, called "RELAXIN".
They didn't heal until the end of my pregnancy. I got to suffer from January of 2011 to June 2, 2011. It was "fantastic!"
How are you feeling? I had my first fill yesterday it was 3cc's. I'm another step closer to the "green zone!"

It took about 2-3 weeks for the shoulder pain to fully go away for me but it got less every day. Heating pad helped. On day 6 was when I started feeling human again. But I felt so good that day that I overdid it and then slept for the next 2 days. Take it easy. You just had major surgery. Good luck!!This was exactly me. I'm 3 weeks post op and got the hiccups yesterday and still had the shoulder pain. It's not as bad as it was at first, but it still hurts.

Yup! That's how I felt. I thought I was never going to come out of it, but by day 6 I turned a corner and felt so much better. Rest, walk, sip your fluids, take your meds, and repeat.

We're here for you! Keep us updated. I sat on the side lines for a long time... (On this forum). I was required to do a 6 month nutrition plan...working with a nutritionist. I was banded just over 3 weeks ago. Thought this day would never come, but I'm so glad I took the first step. Please know that it's TOTALLY worth it!

I'm in mourning for you! I was banded just a few weeks ago and I can't imagine having to say goodbye to it. I'm glad your Dr is so wonderful to you and helping you.
What sent up the white flag? Why did your Dr decide to do an endoscopy?

Thanks again Roja! I will ask my Dr first before getting on bike. My gas is not all that bad' date=' considering what I've heard from others. My Dr placed my port right under my left rib cage . I was surprised, I thought it was placed near belly button. I think it might work out b/c as I lose weight the port will just blend into my ribs. Hoping anyway?!lol[/quote']
Mine is on the right side at my ribs. I broke 2 ribs 21 months ago while I was preggers with my 4th. Man what that a pain in my musical cheeks!
I was worried it was going to hurt like the break but it hasn't. I can feel it, but it's not bad.

I had my first fill yesterday' date=' he put in 4cc's. I am 4 weeks post surgery. I have lost 25lbs. I am not hungry at all and have handled all of my foods since the fill. I'm so glad I had this surgery! I'm 3lbs from Onederland!![/quote']That's fantastic! I can't wait to be in onederland! That's 33 lbs away.

Did your dr give you any chewable Zofran? If not, call and ask for some. It will really help! Also my anesthesiologist explained to my husband that the more fat one has on their body, the more the anesthesia is absorbed. So, it takes us chubby people longer for it to get out of our system....and could still be causing us to feel ill from it...even days later.
But up your Water too!

Last nights dream- I was half awake b/c of a burning pain near port and I'm thinking I must be in wrong (LBT) thread. I got to find the right thread?Who knows maybe I wasn't even in pain!?
How do I control my dreams so I might dream about George Clooney or Matthew McConnahey(sp?)
I had several that my husband was leaving me or that I wanted to do the dirty and our kids kept interrupting us! I was "frustrated" in my dreams!
