  1. I also have a jerk for husband. He has been trying to sabotage my weight loss efforts since my initial consultation in August. He would say negative things like the band is a easy way out. If I am doing so well on my own, I don't need the band. On week minded people get banded. He also called me lazy. The bottom line is only you know your reason for deciding to get banding and you don't have to explain or justify your reasons to ANY ONE! I was banded on 4/3/12 with a hiatal hernia repair.I went back to work the next day (I had no choice ). If no one else supports you, you must stay strong and find the strength within yourself. Please don't let your issue become your issues. I loss 40 lbs since August. All the compliments that I am receiving for others is the best support of all!
  2. @cookiepuss..why are you having a hard time?

  5. I understand that the first month is for healing and not for weight loss. I also understand the once I started mushies and regular foods I probably gain some weight but not 3 lbs in one week. I have a protien shake for breakfast, jello for snack, 3 oz fish with 1-2 oz of broccoli for lunch, fat free pudding for snack, and 3 oz fish with 1-2 oz broccoli for dinner. I don't understand how I gained 3 lbs. I am not retaining water. HELP!!!!!!

  7. I am 2 weeks post op today. 12.2 lbs loss.
  8. He WILL learn the hard way. Once he gets a fill, he will have more restriction in his band. After he vomits a few times, he start doing better. I know that you are concerned but nagging will get you no where. Just continue being a good example and be supportive if he does vomit.
  9. Wow. 25 pounds down since banded on the 2nd. That is GREAT. I was banded on the 3rd and only 14 pounds down.
  10. I am 12 days post op. The gas in my shoulder felt like a knife. I was miserable! You should take your pain medication because you want to stay on top of the pain. It does not causes more gas. Walking around your house every hr for at least 10 mins will help the gases to move. A heating pad help but walking helped the most.
  11. An abdominal binder is made of elastic materials. It is use to support your stomach and back. Walmart sells abdominal binders or you can look it up on the internet. I could not of went to work without it.
  12. I went back to work the next day. I sit down most of the time. Wearing a binder helped alot.
